Has anyone had this issue?
When I shake the truck, I hear water sloshing around. I thought the water was in the cab but I think it's actually in the base of the hardtop (just beneath the window where the rear defrost wiring is housed). I think it is in this area because when I shook the...
Correct. If you look at past threads a lot of the members have shared what the cuts look like. They are basically saw toothed and the cuts enable you to fit the fender extension into the curve of the fender. Good luck, worst case is you buy a new pair and try again!
Yeah the holes don't line up, I ended up drilling new ones. It's all plastic so no worry about corrosion, just weird to drill holes in a new vehicle! Good luck, you got it!
Agree on the steering stabilizer. AEV doesn't add it to the 2" spacer kit, but after 20k miles, I noticed a wobble. I took it to the dealer thinking it was a tire imbalance and was told to replace the steering shock. Bought the recommended Bilstein from AEV. Would do it again as I feel it...
Thx, I did order the reinforcement brackets. Called the dealer and they are offering to pay for the broken passenger side visor, since I have already paid/replaced the driver's side. I appreciate the help/suggestions! Thx Rich
My drive's side broke and I had to replace it(out of warranty) and my passenger side just broke also. What a piece of you know what. I have never had a visor break in any other vehicle, this is ridiculous and Jeep needs to own it
I made the necessary cuts in the recon fender flare to make if flexible enough to fit into the jeep's fender. I started by lining up the recon fender flare at the bottom of the jeep's fender and "riveting" every few inches as I worked my way up to the front of the fender. Don't be afraid to...
the mopar version uses the same plastic finish that you find on the rest of the vehicle (fenders, bumpers, etc). For $850 you get the aussie's version of mopar plastic and a huge poke in the eye
Just read through the original threads and you will see pics/instrx. Basically you will cut a "V" out of the recon extensions in the area where you want to bend the extension to match the curvature of the fender. You can make the extensions line up with the bottom of the fender if you like...
Readyt,
I think I used the fronts on the rear also. There is a ton of info about the install in the original thread. I just kind of figured it out by making some cuts in the extensions so that the extensions could be bent into to rear fender openings. I also had to drill new holes. All that...
