Agree on the steering stabilizer. AEV doesn't add it to the 2" spacer kit, but after 20k miles, I noticed a wobble. I took it to the dealer thinking it was a tire imbalance and was told to replace the steering shock. Bought the recommended Bilstein from AEV. Would do it again as I feel it...
Thx, I did order the reinforcement brackets. Called the dealer and they are offering to pay for the broken passenger side visor, since I have already paid/replaced the driver's side. I appreciate the help/suggestions! Thx Rich
My drive's side broke and I had to replace it(out of warranty) and my passenger side just broke also. What a piece of you know what. I have never had a visor break in any other vehicle, this is ridiculous and Jeep needs to own it
I made the necessary cuts in the recon fender flare to make if flexible enough to fit into the jeep's fender. I started by lining up the recon fender flare at the bottom of the jeep's fender and "riveting" every few inches as I worked my way up to the front of the fender. Don't be afraid to...
the mopar version uses the same plastic finish that you find on the rest of the vehicle (fenders, bumpers, etc). For $850 you get the aussie's version of mopar plastic and a huge poke in the eye
Just read through the original threads and you will see pics/instrx. Basically you will cut a "V" out of the recon extensions in the area where you want to bend the extension to match the curvature of the fender. You can make the extensions line up with the bottom of the fender if you like...
Readyt,
I think I used the fronts on the rear also. There is a ton of info about the install in the original thread. I just kind of figured it out by making some cuts in the extensions so that the extensions could be bent into to rear fender openings. I also had to drill new holes. All that...
Bernie no bueno and subaru in the same category. Get your pink on brother! An old buddy used to wear a pink lacoste shirt and white sunglasses just so someone would say something!! Ha, all in fun
I have the overland also and they do fit, you just need to futz with them a bit. There’s a thread about what to buy and with from guys that are better at it than I am.
Don’t think VT cares about tire poke. I saw them on a wrangler and liked them. They do seem to keep the jeep a little cleaner and used same plastic that is on the existing fender so looks oem. Here’s pic of left rear
If you’re interested in the fender flare extensions there is a thread on installing them. You do need to make some adjustments since they are made for the wrangler but its pretty simple
