Thanks for the input Silvertruck, I saw your thread talking about the front driveshaft, and quickly added that to my buildsheet. I'd overlooked that, and the carrier bearing drop. I had the Doetsch OR 2.5 ton steering/tie rod w the pass-thru stab. bracket in the must haves for sure. Love the...
Well damn, that sucks to hear. I was hoping to come close with some adjustable Fox Factory 2.5’s on a 3.5” Clayton Overland+ lift running 37’s, some extra weight from accessories, and a Hemi in front. Sounds like that caliber of smooth ride still ain’t gonna happen......appreciate the input!!
Brian,
Yes, the Mojave with a leveling lift or 2" body lift was considered, but I want the JT to have more ground clearance and capability due to the length of the JT, both between, and behind the axles. In stock platform, Mojave has similar clearances to what I already have, and I'd like to try...
Thanks kindafearless, yes, it does sound like that's the case. Just on here, I've seen alot of support for Clayton, so I think I'll be doing some more digging on their stuff with some Fox or Kings. I know the Fox 2.5s on my Raptor are a hell of a good ride, so I may stick with Fox. Didn't know...
Yes, I reached out to Whatexit? in a different post when I saw he had both.
I currently use my truck as my DD right now here in Houston, but every deer season, I do go off-road alot on ranch roads towing a trailer with my Polaris RZR XP a few miles from the highway to camp after 4.5 hours on...
Whatexit, since you may be the only person on here that has both, I thought I might ask you. I have a mildly modded 2018 Raptor that I love, and you're right, the ride quality is exceptional. Looks like you've got a JT with a 3+" lift and 37's as well. I'll likely have ADD bumpers, winch...
Hello all, I know the 2 vehicles above are very different vehicles, but I want to see what brands/models of JT lifts in a 2.5" or 3.5" height with 37's offer a similar ride quality, and or performance to a current Ford Raptor.......I've been researching Clayton OR, Rebel OR, Rock Krawler, and...
I am currently running a 2018 Ford Raptor, and love my truck, but ever since I saw the AEV Brute come out, I've thought about going back to a Jeep. I do love off-roading during hunting season and during Spring Break or Summers in Moab. When Jeep announced the Gladiator, I saw a glimmer of hope...
To All,
This is my first post on this forum, and I came here specifically to find out more about this very topic of having a 392 in the Gladiator, as well as to research more on everyone's experiences with the Gladiator platform. Just after my wife and I got married back in 2006, I was "forced"...
