Sorry for the late reply. I like them and more importantly my wife and passengers love them. You just delete a couple of the brackets on install but there is still enough support to use them daily as steps. I'll likely check and torque them every spring.
This was the only way to keep the factory rock rails and add a step. Ace Engineering has a similar solution. No pinch weld to be seen, lots of protection if needed, and adds a stepping platform for my wife, kids and short guests.
Want to keep your Rubi rock rails but add a step? I went with the Barricade rock rail and after one day I'm very happy. Purchased through Extreme Terrain.
Just got my Napier tent set-up for a dry run in my garage. I plan to use this in more remote locations and leave it at home and tow the trailer for family trips. I foresee no problem moving valuable items into the cab overnight and leaving everything else set-up around the campsite. Impressed by...
Some others have mentioned the rear head restraints cause the velcro to come undone but yours seems fine. Any tips? Prob going to commit to mine sometime later this month or in June.
Another subtle military touch added to the Sarge tonight. Can't see it unless you are above the Jeep which is perfect in my opinion. As with any sunshade you do lose headroom in the cab.
Later in the evening I put the roof panels back on to cut down on wind for the drive home. Looks better with the whole roof on I think. My go to config will likely be doors off and roof on most of the time. I have the Mastertop Summer Top plus which I will likely be running most of the summer...
I have been scouring the forums and looked on the Billiebar website but I have yet to see a picture of a tonneau with rails installed over top of the Billiebar brackets. How are these covers staying put? My rolling tonneau requires the rails to be installed on top of the box. Do the tonneau...
Do you have the rails for the tonneau mounted over top of the Billie Bar brackets? I can't find a video or pictures of how the tonneaus are actually installed/clamped with the Billie Bar brackets on.
The ACE ones were nice but cost prohibitive. I found some by Barricade that will likely be the answer for me. https://www.extremeterrain.com/barricade-jeep-gladiator-rock-sliders-textured-black-jg2561.html
Thanks for the help!
Looks great! I was considering putting nerf bars or step rails on mines but can't get over the thought of removing the factory rock rails. I wish there was a good solution where I could keep the rock rails.
The weather has not cooperated with me so far this spring. Haven't had a chance to get the top off the Gladiator and install this yet. Anyone done so? Pictures? Thoughts?
