For the tow hooks, I'm sure you can, and they should fit. BUT before you do, I'd look at what's involved in replacing them. It's most of a days work. I just painted mine blue (Before I knew they were using blue on the 4xe)
As for the emblems, I think several people on here have gone blue, but I...
I have used the rubber-y wheels for your drill to takes such things off. They come off clean and don't damage the surface. They are not necessary when it is new, but after a few years, they become so.
It is NOT standard on the Willys, but it is part of the most common package. The Willys doesn't even come standard with keyless entry or power windows / door locks!
These came from jeepdecalstore.com. Love the customer service! I ruined one (My fault entirely) and he replaced it at no charge. I also have one from pixel, they are a bit slower, but they are good product. Remember, these are generally cut when you order, so don't expect it to ship same day.
I've got the same problem, 21 Willy's. Parts are on order, should be about 2 weeks.
Irritating, but at least they are fixing it. Think they would upgrade me to a locking diff for the inconvenience?
Looks good, and I'm guessing MUCH quieter? I happen to like the stock Willy's wheels. I just bought some stock Sport wheels with stock Bridgestone AT somethings. I'll use them as a summer tire, no sense wearing our the nice BFG MTs when they are not needed.
Used the relocation brackets. The Willys comes with a pretty good shock. When I have to replace shocks, I'll get some longer ones and remove the brackets.
I noticed I had one wheel off the driveway and lower, so today I parked on some flat, level asphalt at work, and was shocked at the difference. From the ground to the rock-rails the front is still 1/2 in lower (8.75" vs 9.25" IIRC), the fender openings from the ground are exactly the same...
So I just measured mine, frame is 1 inch high in the front, ground to fender opening, 2.5 inches high in front. SO... if you want actual level, there are some 1.5 in kits available. One of the reasons I went with the RC kit is I liked that it came with new sway bar links, the others don't, but...
Ill try and get you one. It seems you need a 2 inch front lift to be perfectly level, the RC is 2.5. Now they do sell one that has a 1/2 inch rear lift with it.... It's close enough that it looks level to the eye on level ground.
IMHO, Jeep has been very hit or (mostly) miss with their yellows over the years, but I like this one.
How do you like those steps? Wife thinks I need some.
