Maggi is my vote but Iām biased.
just understand you are not in the world of perfect factory stuff.
what can probably will go wrong.
that said there are a lot of us w 20k+ miles and no issues at all. There are also some blown motor, every one I know of is vale train or tune relate.
11+ is fantastic towing. Youāre not going to get better than that.
For me, max 65, will jump to 70 to pass, but Iām normally at 63 in the slow lane.
Im out west at 3500-7500 ft, towing 5k. My mileage is 8, 5 if Iām fighting a head windā¦. Which seems like EVERY time I hook up the trailer...
there is now way the 4e will be paired with the max tow. With the battery pack and electric motor youāre adding weight already. It will be lucky to have a 5k tow rating.
Good advice from Wing.
I would add, go get your truck scaled, full of fuel. Google cat scale a bunch should pop up. That will give you the real weight of your rig.
then deduct stuff and people that leaves you with whatās left for your trailer.
What did you end up doing OP?
I originally did spacers, 1.5 front and 3/4 rear, and recently ripped it all out and did a 2.5ā AEV kit, really like it.
I did the math and went Magnusson.
That said if this blows up I'll look at a 6.4.
Dropping 35k for a motor and worrying abought premium fuel is a little ass backwards.
Ok back when I got my spacers for my āliftā I read some folks recommended replacing the factory LCA with the slightly longer arms from the Mopar 2ā lift kit.
So I did. Trucks had those for 3 years and 22k miles. Driven and tracked great.
I opted for the AEV 2.5ā lift kit and they use the...
The 8 speed is one of the best transmitions around.
3.6 is a great motor, little long in the tooth but still a great motor. It's not the power house of a v8 nor up to todays standard and I'm sure will get supplanted some time in the future w a turbo v4/hybrid or the I6 hurricane. But those...
You can buy springs direct from most the lift companies; claton, synergy metacloak, AEV ect.
I would look at who is closest to your lift and payload and call them for a set.
You COULD also buy the diesel kit springs for the 2" lift, those are pretty cheep vs aftermarket.
Maybe just do Max tow springs for you use? Could do the rears only see if that gave you what your after.
If itās more āsupportā after you could add summo springs or air bags.
But I bet max tow springs would give ya what you want.
There are trails north and south of town, so really most places will be a drive of some sort.
Sunsets Of Moab is a small (guys back yard) with 5 spots, it's nice. I stayed there last year, will again. It's off the free way a ways and quiet with great views. BUT it's not an RV park +- to that...
