Just want to throw another option for the OP i have ARIES Actiontrac Power boards and i love how its the drop down step when you open the door with an additional step that is adjacent to the body that they fold back into. You can see them in the opened position in my Profile Picture.

If i am not mistaken, it only turns off the license plate lights when you activate the turn signals. Once you change lanes and the turn signals turn off, the license plate lights come back on

Ive had them for roughly for about 4 months and really love how they look and function. Nice cutoff line and really plug and play super simple install. If you want the DRL feature turned on they provide a fuse tap that you use to get the DRL function working on them!

Ive been told this myself but the past 2 shops i got a quote from this weekend, told me that with this particular color that they wouldnt be able to get the same depth as the body and you would be able to see the difference. By all means i am not a paint or body shop guy so i took their word on it
