Those look like the N-Fab bars that I have on my Gladiator too, and after a year and a half, mine are getting rusty also. I was trying to decide whether to paint them, or just buy new bars in a year or so. Let us know how the painting goes.
OK, it's not a Gladiator. It was built as an amphibious 1942 GPA Jeep. But if you want to be an overlander, this story is about one of the first overlanders in a Jeep that drove, and sailed around the world. Below is a link to a video from Dan Grec, "The Road Chose Me".
We used Escape Campervans https://www.escapecampervans.com/campervans/ to rent a Wrangler, completely outfitted for camping. That was when we were trying to decide if we wanted to buy a Gladiator. We hadn't driven a newer Jeep than my '84 CJ7 that I bought in 1986. We were happy with the rental...
One of my tire pressure sensors stopped working. Does anyone know if they are covered by our warranty? I have a 2021 Gladiator Rubicon with about 29,000 miles on it. Stock Falken Wildpeak tires with stock rims on it. What do you think?
I hadn't visited the local Jeep dealer for over 25 years since they screwed up a repair on my Grand Cherokee, but I decided to give them another chance. They put in 6 quarts instead of 5. I had to fight and fight with them to drain a quart. Then they mysteriously "lost" my invoice that said they...
Last August/September we drove from Modesto, CA to Deadhorse Alaska. It was over 8,000 miles. The Gladiator never disappointed. This summer we are talking about making a run to the Artic Ocean in Tuktoyaktuk, Canada.
Rokblokz I put them on the front after I took the photo to the left. I really like them, and they are quick removal. Do a search on the Gladiator Forum. There has been many discussions about mud flaps.
So is there one of these dashcams that is easily transferable from one vehicle to another. I travel a lot to other countries, and use rental cars. It would really beneficial to be able to show it was not the foreigner's fault, (hopefully).
Hey Stephen, (Gladiator Overland) I've got the same ideas about traveling to Latin America, and Africa. I've driven in both in rented vehicles, but I really want to take my Gladiator. The short bumper might be an issue in some countries. Dan Grec, (A Road Chose Me) is really an expert to...
Hopefully you didn't have to spend too much time there. It looks like a really tough place to work, especially in the winter. One person told us that many of the crews work 2 weeks on, 12 hour days, then the company flies them home for 2 weeks off. That's a job for young people. I hope they get...
Dead horse is a big industrial zone. You can't get near the water, because access is controlled by some big corporation. We tried, but were stopped by the guy in the booth in the middle of the road who comes out yelling at you, and waving his arms like a madman. (My wife somehow hurt her arm...
My wife and I drove our new Gladiator from California to Deadhorse, Alaska, an 8,856 mile adventure. As soon as the Canadian border opened to U.S. citizens on August 9th, 2021, we crossed into Canada on our way to Alaska. What beautiful country they have in British Columbia, The Yukon, and of...
