It's not profiteering. It's supply and demand. Profiteering is on staples such as food, gas, etc.
Last time I checked, a new Jeep wasn't a staple.
They have something you want that is in short supply. You either pay what they ask or wait.
There are a bunch of folks on here giving incorrect information.
1. Rubicon shocks and stock shocks from all other JT trim levels are the exact same length. The difference in height is all spring related.
2. Rubicon springs will give some "lift" in the range of an inch to an inch and a half...
You don't need to change the control arms if only doing the levelling kit. I've been running it for 5,000 miles with zero issues. Only need the longer control arms if going 2 inches or above in lift.
You don't have to cut out a hole. Look at the Rock Hard 4x4 Winch plate. Easy install. Bolts to the frame rails and uses the factory tow hooks as a secondary anchor. I ran it on my JL, and I removed it and painted it orange when I got my JT. I love the look, and it adds to the Scrambler concept...
It's not the wire insulation they are attracted to. It's the wiring itself. They use it as a source for warmth. I had $3,000 in damage to my 2016 Land Rover LR4 from rats chewing to get to the wiring during the winter.
Haven't had it aligned yet. Steering wheel adjustment took me all of 5 minutes. When lifting, need to turn the drag link adjustment counter clockwise to center it. Really easy to do yourself.
I'll do an alignment after i have everything retorqued in a couple of weeks.
I added the Teraflex spacer lift a month ago, and it drives no differently with that being the only thing I added. You can just throw them on and get about your business.
Are you going to buy another set of mirrors, or are you going without doors all the time? If you are going back and forth it's going to be a pain. Looks like you would have to break them down and reattach every time.
