  1. Aux Battery Charging?

Not to mention the extents they had to go through with internal engine coatings to allow for excessive stop starts to meet their 150,000 mile engine longevity target. Toyota trucks don’t have stop start. I’m sure the guy who said, “hey let’s save .07% on cafe” with this trouble ridden system...
  2. Aux Battery Charging?

I’m talking maintaining on a 1 to 2 amp smart charge. My last 14AH Yuasa battery went 8 years on a battery tender. That’s what I have as a backup. Whether AGM batteries are “better” than LA wet batteries remains an argument. If it was prepped right, quality of materials, etc. and climate...
  3. Is there away to test aux battery with out pulling it

It depends on where the power control relay is in its position. Whether it has the aux battery in the loop or not. Have to pull it. Also I wouldn’t do a load test through the PCR. Just maybe a voltage check.
  4. Aux Battery Charging?

My observations. The aux battery is undersized IMO. It is expected to augment ESS running accessories. It has low reserve capacity so it takes a beating. It’s a motorcycle battery. When you take a battery and cycle it hard, and fast charge it, it won’t last long. It’s small lol. This is...
  5. Disconnecting ESS AUX Battery to use as a backup

What I do: buy a 6 inch jumper with ring terminals and a 30 amp fuse run between them. I bought 8 gauge wire. This is for warranty concerns and keeps things intact and not excessively modified. And it’s cheap If the Jeep sits for more than 2 weeks, I keep a battery tender hooked up to...
  6. Thrumming NVH In Chassis

Hello, new to this forum, but not new to forums. My second JL/JT. Thought I’d air this for info only. 4 days old, 215 miles on the clock. Did it when I drove it home the first day. I have a “thrumming” low frequency vibration that resonates in the cab. Comes in at about 54mph and is gone at...
