Dealer installed security system. (After market)

This morning I pressed the brake pedal down pretty hard and it started!

I would really need to muscle down the brake pedal to make it move further when this occurs, but I’ll give it a try. There is nothing consistent about when it happens I.E. hot or cold weather,, however it is more likely to occur if I don’t start it for a few days.

I go in Monday for maintenance and will ask about this. I’ll let you know what they say.

This happened before the Taser. I got the Taser Mini specifically to turn off the ESS thinking that was the cause. But, like I said, tap the brake pedal three times when the pedal does not depress normally and the truck starts.

I have the ESS programmed off with the Taser. When the JT won’t start, the brake pedal moves approx 1/4” just as if the fob was not in the truck And the door lock button is pushed.

My JT would not start by pushing the ignition button, it would start by pushing remote start on key fob. Took it to the dealer and they replaced both batteries. After a month or so the same thing happened again. Quite unintentionally I tapped the brake pedal THREE times, pushed the ignition...

There was a service notification calling for the replacement of the steering damper. I did mine, all better.

Got a chip second day of ownership, replace once, and currently cracked.

It sounded like it was coming from the A-pillars close to the dash.

There is a recall on the steering stabilizer.

I don’t know if the foam is necessary or not, I had it, used it, it worked.

The cable is for a “Banks Module”. The wind noise was existing, the cable changed the pitch, my modification eliminated wind noise. I removed the cowl on both sides and did the same on passenger side.

I’ve been trying to eliminate wind noise for 1.5 yrs and stumbled on cure. I ran the cable shown in first pic and wind noise got worse. I sealed the area per pics and case solved.

Very nice, thank you for posting this video. I did wind up going with the Rockslides and love them.

Does anyone in the Phoenix area have either the Aries or Rock Slide Engineering retractable running boards I can see before I buy?
