Can anyone tell me if this looks worn enough to be causing a vibration when accelerating at slow speeds. When I pull on it it has a fair amount of movement.
I am trying to troubleshoot a vibration and suspect something on the drive shaft or possibly an issue with the rear tires. Trying to...
I will agree with this. No better than letting Best Buy diagnose your computer. Luckily my brother-in-law is a commercial parts manager for advanced auto so I get to use their equipment to test the battery myself and then got a new one at cost.
I found bent pins on my passenger side. I fixed them but that didn't fix my issue. I had both my batteries tested and they both failed. I replaced the main battery and bypassed the aux battery. Now all is well. If still under warranty, you may want to have the dealership test your batteries.
I live about an hour from there and you are correct. The large majority of these incidents happen in Crystal Beach which is known as a huge party beach. GTW at that beach has evolved far beyond jeeps. It is heavily dominated by lifted pickup trucks and side by side vehicles. I choose to...
Since it isn't under warranty I need to try and confirm the issue before bringing it to them. I am going to take a look today and see if any pins are bent. I wonder how difficult it is to replace that harness.
Interesting, how quickly did it drain the battery. I literally took the doors off and imidiately tried to start the jeep. Was the damage to the pin visible?
Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, it's not in warranty any longer. It's a daily driver with 40k miles in two years so it definitely gets driven often. I guess I will go to the local auto parts store to test the batteries.
So I am having a weird issue or two. I was recently at the beach for the weekend. I took the doors and top off for the entire time and had no issues until the morning I was leaving. I went to leave and my battery was dead. I assumed I must have left something on over night and got a budy to...
This is what I was afraid of. The rock slides are above my budget but they are probably the right solution so I may just have to do it. I can handle the install myself so at least I'll save on that.
Unfortunately those don't look much lower then the factory boards. My wife had medical issues which slightly limit her mobility. I am just afraid the the nerf bars will be an issue on the trail. I won't be rock crawling so I am not sure how much of a negative a solid set of nerf bars will be...
Thanks for the reply. Those look like they are the same height as my stock running bards. I need something lower that will help my wife climb up. There are lots of nerf bar options but I am afraid they will cause issues on the trail.
I lifted my 2021 sport s". The wife is having trouble getting in using the factory running boards. I am new to off roading but have no interest in rock crawling. I'll be doing beach and dirt trails. I would love to get the rock slide power steps but it's not in my budget. How much will nerf...
Hey Y'all, My gladiator is at the dealer now getting the Mopar 2" lift installed. The new wheels with 37' tires are in my garage. I plan on driving her home on the stock wheels/tires and then installing the 37's myself. My questions is how much jack height will I need to install that size...
Thank you. I have got the correction brackets on hand. Now I just need to school myself on how to measure the caster and determine if I am using the longer LCR's or the stock ones to get the right angle.
My point is that that installing the 1.5 leveling kit on a stock suspension does not seem to require new lcr or correction bracket. So since the lcr's that came with the Mopar lift should in theory bring the caster back to stock, certain logic would say adding the same 1.5 leveling kit would not...
I have done a ton of research and that depends on your dealership. I have a good relationship with my dealership and they won't be voiding my warranty because I used larger tires. Besides we are now off subject.
