That happens on the 1 tons as well. Sometimes if you drop the blade down a little bit lower on the highway the temp might drop. I've been there on the big tucks. Not on this one. But mine might be different then yours. Its a diesel and it has a full delete done to it so there's no air flow...
The plow is 400lbs I've been plowing with this rig for 3 seasons now. This is the first time I've seen snow built up like that in the wheel wells. That's why I took the picture. The fox shocks are not very good in the cold. Once there done I'll change them out for some overland ones.
My local diesal shop did it a year ago. They did a custom 4 inch pipe and then they did a 50 hp tune. Its really not a big job the trick is to find a guy for the tune. If you do it, make sure you keep all the parts that comes off. Its worth a lot of money.
If you can in your area find a shop that can remove that stuff. Egr as well, Your truck will thank you. There's a lot of eco ram guys that have done it. I've also done it on my gladiator 20k ago knowing this would happen. If you can't sorry for your luck, you will probably have more problems...
You can go to a truck stop and fill up there. It's usually the cheapest but what do I know I stopped putting that shit in my truck a year ago. (and I love it)
