  1. Soft brake pedal on my Gladiator Rubicon

Hi, I wanted to give a brief update, I had started this post last July. Sometime last year I spoke to someone at the local dealer, they reminded me that the diesel has no engine vacuum so it's an electric or electronic brake booster. So there's that. He said people complain about them all the...
  2. Errors on Brand New Gladiator

Like everybody else said, stories like yours do come up occasionally, but not often, and it's total speculation to say what the problem is without an investigation at the dealer. Fortunately for you, many states have "lemon laws" which typically will give the dealer three chances to fix all...
  3. 2021 Ecodiesel Big Issues beaware

Darn thanks for this, it's the most succinct and accurate thing I've read all day, and amusing in a really sad way. And as we've all seen, this whole pandemic thing has ramped up all the previously existing issues by about double or triple, so here we are. Kinda makes you long for the good...

Yeah, man awesome truck. Totally agree that the heavy diesel engine overworks the standard Fox shocks that the factory used. Need to fix that on mine. I didn't like how you clipped out all the nice detail on your truck, try this photo instead:)
  5. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

You don't have the factory LED light option, so the truck is looking for halogen fog lamps when you turn them on. If it finds an LED lamp instead, that's a fault code. So it turns them off. I believe you need some minor wiring component changes and some recoding of the module that controls...
  6. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Yeah, speaking of that. These pictures are of "new" Dana 44 differential covers that I purchased from Quadratec, for $340 (front and rear). This kind of damage didn't happen from UPS in 2 days. They sent me some scratched up old parts that were probably shuffled around on shelves for months...
  7. Soft brake pedal on my Gladiator Rubicon

Thanks guys for the posts, not happy to hear others have the same problem, but maybe that will lead to a fix down the road. DD, question about the engine vacuum and type of booster? It's a turbo diesel so it has positive manifold pressure on open throttle, but on closed throttle, off boost, why...

The side steps are N Fab Predator Pro Aluminum for JT, textured black. I highly recommend purchasing direct from N Fab since you'll save about $50, get free shipping, and they're always in stock. They are aluminum, one piece welded, and they won't function well as rock rails for obvious...

I think the color matched hardtop is great with this color and highly recommend it. The fenders are a lot more questionable if you'll be doing much off road. I tend to scrape small branches a lot in the woods with the fenders and mirrors.
  10. DisAble the Elect.Park Brake when Door is Open ?

FROM OWNERS MANUAL PAGE 147-148 AUTOPARK "AutoPark is a supplemental feature to assist in placing the vehicle in PARK should the situations on the following pages occur. It is a back up system and should not be relied upon as the primary method by which the driver shifts the vehicle into PARK...
  11. Soft brake pedal on my Gladiator Rubicon

Thanks for the reply. Bleeding the brakes is easy and obvious. I don't think "assembly line had a bad day" applies to brakes. I have heard that it's a known complaint specifically on the diesel Gladiator. If there's a problem with that model, I imagine a recall will happen sometime soon...
  12. DisAble the Elect.Park Brake when Door is Open ?

The Tazer firmware version 11.2.8 dated 06/21 under "Submenu Other" includes an option "Set ParkSense". The options are 0: None, 1: Sahara, 2: Rubicon.
  13. Soft brake pedal on my Gladiator Rubicon

Hi, I'm starting a new thread on this after unsuccessfully searching for mention of this problem. Basically the brakes on my truck work fine and are pretty similar to other trucks I've owned, including my previous Gladiator. However the brake pedal on my new truck has a distinctly soft or...
  14. Plus(+) 12mm or Minus(-) 12mm Offset for No-Rub

Here's my truck with RT 109s, 17x9, +12mm offset, 5.5 inch backspace. They only stick out a bit beyond the fenders, lots of space on the inside, currently running OEM tires but I'm pretty confident that 315/70/17 would be fine since that's only needing 15mm additional clearance on the inside...
  15. Who has Molle Panels in their Bed (Photos)

Honestly I think both are good and you can have both at the same time - Molle panels and light duty D rings. You have yours mounted upside down (the D rings) by the way. They don't go that way, they are supposed to have a spacer that allows them to rotate on the bolt and they will hang down...

Here's how mine is looking at the moment. Not a show truck, just practical stuff for functional use.
  18. Aftermarket wheels advice needed

Sorry, but for everyone's safety I think it's important to correct the minimum rim width. 315 section tires must not be mounted on 7.5 inch wide rims. Tire manufacturers uniformly state rim width of 8.5 inches to 10 inches.
  19. Diesel cooling options and ideas

From the drivers view, the yellow ribbon on the left nearest the windshield looks pretty good to me. Also hot air rises, and high pressure moves toward low pressure. You have high velocity low pressure cold air across most of the hood. Seems like the Rubicon hood vents should work if they...
  20. Diesel cooling options and ideas

Yes, it's a diesel. Yes, they are difficult to install. A certain amount of bending, rerouting, drilling, and cursing are needed. In the rear, there is a frame bracket that must be whacked with a sledge hammer to bend it out of the way. They are very nicely made, better quality that some...
