  1. Another One Bites The Dust - Tick Of Death

I eliminated ASS first month I owned the truck. Yet....here I am....
  2. Another One Bites The Dust - Tick Of Death

LOL - I guess I could have worded that better. Not like she ran out on me. We were not scheduled to be here in AZ this long and she had obligations she needed to get back to. Whereas I work for myself so could take the time to get the Jeep and the dogs home. The up side is that I'm...
  3. Another One Bites The Dust - Tick Of Death

No design differences as it is a stock replacement kit. Almost certainly material differences as it is not the same factory. Now....Different for the better? Different for the worse? I would say "time will tell" but I have no intention of still running the Pentastar 27K miles from...
  4. Another One Bites The Dust - Tick Of Death

Rule of acquisition #41: "If you're gonna drive a Jeep, ya gotta have lobes..." (if you get the reference, we can be friends)
  5. Another One Bites The Dust - Tick Of Death

I cannot say for sure. What I can say is that I changed the oil regularly. Didn't drive it particularly hard. towed a small camper a handful of times. The rest of the time it was just a commuter. and yet it happened to me just like its happened to thousands of others. And in a relatively...
  6. Another One Bites The Dust - Tick Of Death

Officially just became a card-carrying member of the "Pentastar Haters Club" 2022 Rubicon. 27K miles. Tick of death started. Pulled the RH cover and the #5 intake cam was chewed down almost eighth of an inch . My rig has a rebuilt title so no warranty for this guy.:( My original plan...
  7. Mojave Hood Scoop MOD

    Great tip!
  8. Rubicon FarOut

    Your link didn't come through.
  9. Lift or 35’s on Rubicon

We install lift to clear tires. We install tires to clear obstacles. I have 35's under mine with the only lift being a leveling spacer up front to get rid of the rake. Be advised that I do have minor rubbing at full lock when hitting bumps.
  10. Trading gladiator in on new jeep. Should I disclose lifter tick issue

Sounds to me more like you were treated badly by previous owners. Doing exactly what you advocate doing: aware of a problem but trade it in and remain silent knowing that whoever inherits your problem will just blame the dealer for selling them a lemon.
  11. What Does It Do

    AKA: "Remote Air Fryer"
  12. Red dots are to pistols, what ducks are to Jeeps

You put red dots on people's pistols when they're not looking?
  13. Jeep cancels all 4xe Hybrid models!

The fossil fuel world, to be certain. They openly bragged about it. And they would've gotten away with it, too! If it weren't for us meddling kids
  14. How do Gladiators handle on the highway?

Even with 35s I have zero issues with streetability. Cruise 80-85 with confidence. And while I’ve sat in more comfortable seats, the Rubi isn’t horrible to me. Now….ask me about MPG…. (don’t ask)
  15. AMW 392 (6.4) installation and experience

What about your original engine/trans? You get to keep/sell that or they keep?
  16. AMW 392 (6.4) installation and experience

Agree. But to be fair, you gotta admit that nobody asked "how much would it cost for my vehicle?"
  17. AMW 392 (6.4) installation and experience

Well, for one they are currently closed. But regardless, if I may be frank, I was wondering why somebody would start a thread and then refuse to discuss the cost. It has me wondering, what other information is not your business to disclose. Sorry to be so blunt, but I'm weighing how much...
  18. AMW 392 (6.4) installation and experience

Did they make you sign an NDA?
  19. 2LO - installed

Do you know if the relays are NO or NC? I ask because relays fail sometimes. In a failure situation, will FAD be bypassed or engaged? If disconnected is the default failure mode - then mounting those relays in a more accessible spot would be a wise precaution to keep from being stranded...
