Sounds to me more like you were treated badly by previous owners. Doing exactly what you advocate doing: aware of a problem but trade it in and remain silent knowing that whoever inherits your problem will just blame the dealer for selling them a lemon.
Even with 35s I have zero issues with streetability. Cruise 80-85 with confidence. And while I’ve sat in more comfortable seats, the Rubi isn’t horrible to me.

Do you know if the relays are NO or NC? I ask because relays fail sometimes. In a failure situation, will FAD be bypassed or engaged?
If disconnected is the default failure mode - then mounting those relays in a more accessible spot would be a wise precaution to keep from being stranded...
