  1. NCJeeper Build Thread

This may be the shortest thread ever, but I sold the Jeep. It wasn’t easy, but I strolled into a dealership to just ā€œlookā€ at a Ford Raptor. The dealer hit me with an impressive trade in value and I was sold. I still have a Pedal Commander if anyone is interested. $150 and I’ll ship it out. It...
  2. NCJeeper Build Thread

It has been a long time since I've had the doors off on the Jeep due to the insane pollen that North Carolina gets. My Jeep is still yellow, despite being washed constantly, but I couldn't pass up the weather. I took a trip down to see my parents and road the whole way with the front doors off...
  3. NCJeeper Build Thread

Wilmington is great! I'm just outside of Charlotte so maybe an hour and a half from Uwharrie. I see that you've got a F-150, how has that been treating you?
  4. NCJeeper Build Thread

Good to know! I wasn't sure how that would work when buying something off eBay. Though, I've always had a great experience with Discount Tire. On a previous Jeep, I had an employee drive to another store one morning on his way to work and pick up five wheels for my Jeep in his personal vehicle...
  5. NCJeeper Build Thread

A buddy of mine was setting up a small group to head to Uwharrie. I was dealing with a small issue with my LJ and didn’t feel comfortable taking it the 1.5 hours to the trail and beating on it. So I took the Gladiator. The Gladiator didn’t really have any challenges but having a locker would’ve...

Last but certainly not least was my favorite upgrade of them all. This was also completed by the team at CS Motorsports Katzkin Leather replacement fabric in Mahogany. The difference is night and day when it comes to fabric and leather. They did an amazing job on the install and completed it...
  7. NCJeeper Build Thread

The UPS guy really really loves me… If you’re ever undecided between 35s or 37s go with the 37s. This is the 4th set of tires I’ve had on this Jeep since owning it. At the time, I think I had about 15k miles on the Jeep. Purchased a set of Mickey Thompson M/Ts off eBay from Simple Tire...
  8. NCJeeper Build Thread

I noticed one day that my 7ā€ Amazon special LED lights that had lasted over 4 years at this point had condensation inside one of them. I wanted to get something nicer and something in a 9ā€ instead of the JK 7ā€ size. I bought a set of used DV8 headlights and noticed something was a bit off after...
  9. NCJeeper Build Thread

March 2022 I bought a pair of Oracle tail lights to replace the boxy looking OEM tail lights. I know these aren’t extremely popular, but I love the look of them. At this point my wife was itching to take her Bronco on a road trip. Boone is only two hours away and Rubitrux is there. I know a...
  10. NCJeeper Build Thread

August 2021 my wife and I stopped by our local Ford dealership because they had a new Bronco on their showroom floor. I had always wanted to see one in person and hadn’t had an opportunity yet. The one they had was already sold, which funny enough they wouldn’t even let us touch it. Despite...
  11. NCJeeper Build Thread

Well as you are all aware. Your tires are never quite big enough haha. I some how convinced my wife that I ā€œneededā€ 35ā€ tires and went to NTB and picked up a set of Nexen Roadian M/Ts. The shop warned me but damn these tires were loud. I’m not exactly sure the weight of these tires but they...

Next up was a front bumper to get rid of the ugly stock plastic bumper. We have an off-road shop in the Charlotte area called PM Jeep Depot (stands for Poor Man's) and I picked up a Rugged Ridge stubby bumper. Overall, I am happy with the bumper but the quality isn't the best. I still haven't...
  13. NCJeeper Build Thread

Going to start a build thread for my JT as I haven't created one yet. I have one on Wrangler Forum for my 2004 LJ, but I figured it is time to create one for my Gladiator. Forgive me if I post things out of order, I'm going based off memory and my memory sucks! I've owned several Jeeps over the...
  14. Alaska Daily Drivers: Hydro Blue 80A and Bright White JTR

What a great build thread so far. I enjoyed reading through all the updates. I wanted to ask what gears you plan on going with? I went with 4.88s and it ended up being perfect for 37s.
  15. Can a build be finished?

Anyone ever reach a point where they feel like they’ve finished their build? I think I’ve reached that point on my ā€˜20 JT. Here are the specs: 4ā€ Ready Lift w/ Falcon Shocks 37ā€ MT Baja MTZ 17ā€ Fuel Wheels 4.88 Gears Katzkin Leather interior DV8 Headlights Oracle Tail Lights Pedal Commander...
  16. Diesel Springs Takeoffs

I’ll take it as no one has ever done this haha. Got the coils on today and gained an inch as expected in the rear. Also, my driveway is on an incline.
  17. LOL - Every 2021 Ford Bronco With a Hardtop Needs a New One

You act as if the Gladiator hasn't had issues.. This is why people say not to buy the first model year of a new product. This isn't ford specific.
  18. Old School Jeeps

I had a 95 YJ with a 4.7 Stroker, which I sold when I found my 2004 LJ. Personally, I think having an old Jeep and a Gladiator is the perfect combination. The YJ right before I sold it. It has been pretty hard to find a LJ, and when I found this one stock.. I had to pick it up.
  19. Maryland Stock Tail Lights

they are NOT the same as a JL. Ask me how I know… haha don’t make the same mistake I did.
  20. Coil spring part numbers

I have a set of Rubi Diesel coils with part #'s 251AA & 252AA. The guy I got them from has a Rubi Diesel, if I hadn't know that, I'm not sure I'd be able to tell by searching online.
