No the amp had been installed for a year. So far since updating and reinstalling the tazer everything has been fine. I think the tazer was looking for something from the factory head unit and since it wasn't finding it, it wouldn't shut off.
I didn't mention it because it had been installed for over a year and didn't have any problems. So as it wasn't changed didn't think it was causing it.
