  1. wheel hop in fresh snow

Following this thread closely. Had to use 4HI to get into an uncleared driveway last weekend (maybe 6" of snow, drifts up to 12") and got some axle hop. NEVER had it in my 2 door JK, despite blasting around in the snow as much as I could, so it took me by surprise. Didn't really know exactly...
  2. 2021 Jeep Gladiator Willys ,Lakes Region NH. 2.5 inch lift 35 inch Kenda Klevers

Looks great from a fellow sarge green in NH! What lift kit do you have and how do you like it?
  3. Rear seat delete/dog deck/vertical storage compartment build

Good to know - thank you. Its certainly not a "need" to get the mats back there. I'm already at the point of diminishing returns. The completionist part of me just wants to cover everything I can, especially because I have a couple mats of material left over. Anyway - I'll be following along...
  4. Jeep Considering Off-Road Turn Assist and 4-Wheel Steering Features?

Totally get where you are coming from, but couldn't the same be said for any mod that increases the capability of our trucks? Heck, even generationally we've seen huge improvements in the capability of the Wrangler platform. When your rig becomes more capable you just hit harder trails...
  5. Rear seat delete/dog deck/vertical storage compartment build

Looks like a great project! Did you take any pictures while removing the plastic trim panels on the back of the cab? I've read that its a real bear but I want to get back there to put some soundassassin mats down.
  6. Softopper coming

Has anybody measured (or can anybody measure...) the inside height and width (at the top) of their softopper? I'm trying to assess if I'd be able to put some bicycles in the bed underneath one
  7. SillyWillys' mild JTR build / trip log

Nearly finished with the sound assassins saga today. Did the floor and one door. I'd still like to do the back of the cab but I haven't researched the best way to get at it... from what I've read, its a real pain to remove the plastic back there. Floor was pretty straight forward. Based on...
  8. BillieBars with BuiltRight Utility Rails

I had the same problem - here's a pic of my solution: I got some longer bolts and assorted washers at the hardware store. The larger washers span the distance across the rail and eat up the dead space, keeping the mount vertical. I also put some blue loctite to keep it all together and have...
  9. New to Jeep

Welcome! It isn't advertised anywhere, but Sarge Green is actually the most capable color for offroading :) Where are you getting the paint matched hard top? I keep telling myself its not in my budget but I REALLY want one.
  10. Mods no effect on 6 speed

Interesting - I wasn't even aware that there were aftermarket clutches for the JL/JT. What would you say the improvement is? Did you have your Jeep reflashed or whatever for the clutch recall, too? I think it was to reduce the torque output as to not burn up the clutch or something...
  11. SillyWillys' mild JTR build / trip log

I logged in to my work laptop today and things were REAL quiet with the holiday weekend coming up.... so I decided to play hooky and installed my headliner. Its 28 degrees so first order of business was bringing the hardtop inside. I threw a couple panels in to check the fit and finish - very...
  12. SillyWillys' mild JTR build / trip log

I plan to get my money out of the stock wildpeaks, but when the time comes to replace them I'll size up. I'll consider 37's, but I don't really want to have to regear or worry about trussing/gusseting my axle tubes. My only compliant with the 33's is that when you air down they become 30's...
  13. SARGE GREEN Gladiator club

Dear Santa, All I want for Christmas this year is another trip to Moab. Regards, SillyWillys
  14. SillyWillys' mild JTR build / trip log

Hey all, I thought I'd put together a build thread/trip journal to share my thoughts and experiences with my Gladiator. I traded my 2016 JK Willys in August, for my JT Rubicon. I swore I'd never sell the JK, but the reality of life eventually set in and I decided the a Gladiator was the right...
  15. BedRug support so *AWFUL* it deserves a thread.

I placed an order when their website advertised 3-4 week delivery time. I called after 5 weeks asking for status... only to be told that their next production run wasn't for ANOTHER MONTH. The price had also dropped ~40 for some reason, so I asked if they could AT LEAST honor the new, lower...
  16. 6MT Failure to start + no auto start/stop solved by dealer

This is the best picture I could get, looking up along the clutch pedal I assume it's the small connector with brown/blue/yellow wires. I didn't see anything on the engine bay side of the firewall that looked promising. In hindsight, I should have asked the dealer tech to show me exactly what he...
  17. Gladiator Down! Failed to Start with no warnings

Hey - I just got back from the dealer with my Jeep and posted a thread about it. My issue was the clutch pedal sensor was not fully engaged. 1700 miles on my Jeep. I haven't looked for myself yet, but the dealer tech said he actually felt the connector "snap" into place, as it SHOULD have been...
  18. 6MT Failure to start + no auto start/stop solved by dealer

Hey all, I just wanted to put my recent experience out there incase anyone else runs into the same problem. Around 1000 miles my Gladiator (3.6, 6MT) started having issues starting, sometimes taking 2 or 3 cycles of the ignition switch before firing up. It SEEMED to correlate with cool...

Couple of questions! Are these the steel or aluminum versions? Where in ME are you located? Thanks
  20. New Hampshire WTB/WTT Sarge Green Painted Hardtop

Will do! I'm going to reach out to some autobody shops to see what they'd charge to paint one of the "paintable primer" hardtops from quadratec. I'll let you know if I start going down that path. I doubt it will be cost effective but I love the look of the paint match hardtops...
