I’ll take some tomorrow - it was dark when I finished but needed it done tonight because I’m testing it out at an off road park in the morning. Here’s one after I cut and before I spliced. First cut was a little nerve racking!
Thanks for posting this thread! I just installed a 3.5 Clayton lift with HD springs and the wheel speed sensor wire was too light. I wasn’t sure how to address and came across your posts while researching. I spliced in an extension like you all showed.
It’s been a little bit since my last update, but I’ve been making progress. I’ve been working on it whenever I get some free time.
Finally got the front bumper and winch installed. I went with a Turn Offroad bumper, and it’s a bit of a mixed bag.
First off, this thing is it’s super solid...
I meant to elaborate on the OVS truck cap install. This was something I was looking forward to building since our focus shift toward longer trips and more practical storage.
The cap showed up really well packaged on a pallet, which was great to see. Some of the parts I buy are damaged in...
I spent weekend dialing things in and swapping out the rear bumper on the Gladiator as the build continues to take shape.
First up, I went through and tightened down all the control arms and suspension components, bump stops etc. Nothing too exciting , but an important step before I test it...
I made a lot of progress this weekend. The lift is mostly done… I still need to torque down the control arms and track bars and bleed the brakes after installing the brake line extensions.
I still have the stock tires - plan on getting 38s later this week.
I added met cloak Swaybar...
I made a little progress last night. I installed the LOD Destoyer rails/steps. This was surprisingly easy. On my wrangler I had to drill to mount… and even though the instructions for the gladiator said there were two areas that I needed to drill, I had threaded holes there already. I had to cut...
This is my first time doing a build log but I have built many jeeps over the years. We, along with a couple of friends, are planning a trip out west to hit Colorado, Utah, and eventually the Rubicon trail. This is a bucket list series of trips that we’ve been talking about and planning for...
Thanks - I’ll peel that back and check. It threw me off because it runs into a plug. My other jeeps just had just the 4 wires wrapped together and laying in that area.
Hi all, i have a 2025 Rubicon and it came with the aux switches. I went to install lights and couldn’t find the wires under the hood. I’ve owned a couple of jeeps with the switches and the leads are always in the same place (including my 2024 JLU). Does anyone know if something changed in 2025...
I was able to install this today. The QR code for the instructions in the box was a dead link but I was able to search YouTube and find an install video. It went in pretty easy. Attaching the strut requires you lift the hood a little more to attach the bottom. The quality seems good - will see...
I have them on my wrangler (for about a year and a half) and have been really happy with them. I had the same issues with the warning that the turn signal was out. I noticed it wasn’t really out but the Jeep thought it was. I added the resistor they recommended but I still occasionally got the...
I just ordered a set. For $40 I figured it would be worth a try… if they are decent, I’ll order another for my wrangler. I can post my thoughts here once I get them.
I just bought a new 2025 rubicon and am just starting my build. I would love to test the inner fenders… I bought your overhead molle panel and am I am going to install on it
I’ve been really happy with Tuwa Racks. I’ve had 2… went from the mid rack to an adjustable one. We use it for Kayaks, surfboards, skiis, off-road and camping gear.
Does anyone know what size lift this is? It looks like it might be metalcloak and I was guessing a 3.5. I just bought a 41 gladiator and it arrives Saturday… already planning my build and I like the stance on this one!
