BAK Revolver uses a combination of clamps and screws/nutserts inserted into existing holes in the bed. No drilling required, just some minor trimming of the bed liner and plastic bed rail covers. The bed cover installs first and then the bed rack attaches to the bed cover rails via the...
I just installed my BAK Revolver X4 I so far it is a great cover. Installation was simple, it is very secure and water intrusion is minimal. The primary reason I chose this cover was for the t-slots on the rails so I could mount my bed rack. The combination of cover and rack made for a very...
I went solo last time; had to pull off a few times to allow groups pass me going in the other direction. There are lots of spots to pull off where you won't be in the brush. It just depends on where you are on the trail. Lot's of ATVs as well as the occasional hiker to avoid.
I just discovered in another thread that the BAK Revolver X4S has integrated t slots. I'm not sure why they don't advertise that feature on their site but it is visible in the product pics. This looks very promising. https://bakflip.com/p/bak-revolver-x4s-tonneau-cover/bak-80701/
Thanks for reaching out. I don't have a tonneau yet. After checking the TS rails compatibility list I think I like the BAK Flip. I didn't see Rugged Ridge on the compatibility list but I like the look of their products. Before I buy I would like to verify that everything will fit with my...
I went to Tate in Frederick, MD. It was a bit of a drive but well worth it. I saved $$$ compared to local dealers and the were very easy to work with. It was my least painful car buying experience ever.
Avoid Lustine in Woodbridge. I bought my JKU there. They are stereotypical car salesmen...
The pass is $5.00 per day or $12 for 3 days. You can buy it at nearby convenience stores, at the local ranger station or by snail mail (not available online). Don't go without a permit, they do issue citations. https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/gwj/recarea/?recid=73965
Campgrounds in the area do...
At first I considered naming my JT Roxanne (just felt like a great vehicle name) but I settled on Rocksy. No story behind this one but it just fits.
My wife named my old JKU Lisa. Here's the story: Many years ago my wife colored her hair blonde (her natural is dark brown). The change was very...
How do you like the TS Rails? I have an off brand Amazon Yakima style rack and want to install the TS Rails so I can add a compatible tri-fold tonneau.
I'm looking for a t-slot solution for my JT so I can run a tonneau with my bed rack. The only two solutions I can find are the Roll-N-Lock M-Series XT Retractable Truck Bed Cover or the Truxedo Elevate TS rail system. I don't care for the Roll-N-Lock because I would rather get a trifold cover...
