I usually just run a small flat head screwdriver up under the hose all the way around it where it's attached and break the seal that it has on the pipe.
Selling my 22 JTRD with 7700 miles. Only selling to get back into a full size truck. This JT has been a blast to drive but time for something bigger. All stock aside from the bed mat. LED taillights and the Tazer programmer. Never been off-road and have not had any issues with it. Hate to sell...
Since I have had my JTRD for a few months now after starting this thread I figured I would give my take on this. Now do I regret not getting the LED's? For the most part yes. I've driven halogen equipped cars for years so its not like I am not use to them. I see just fine with them although I do...
Nothing too exciting here but I have been hooking up to the trailer more with the JT. I have had no issues with pulling the trailer. The torque of the diesel does very well. My driveway is running uphill in the pic making it look like it's squatting but on level ground it sits level.
Still doesn't look like very many of these out there or at least on this forum. I guess that means that we have one of the lower number color builds. Fine by me but would be nice to see more out there.
I did finally receive my replacement passenger side tail light the other day. It took a while to get here but it did show up. Aside from the plastic housing breaking on the first one I have had no issues with mine. Went from the factory non LED tail lights to these with the use of the Tazer.
These are not for venting as much as they are for providing air but I have been considering these for my JTRD. Not a big fan of the look but they might help in providing some air to cool things down...
I removed the whole assembly on mine as well when I did mine. Made it a whole lot easier to work with. I spent more time taking the assembly out and putting back in than I did gutting the part.
22 Rubicon all stock aside from the Tazer. Of the first three tanks I checked (hand calculated) I only got 19-20 mpg being a mix of town/highway. My dash said I was averaging 22.8 but I don't necessarily take that as accurate.
