Damn, my dealer found two leaks from me taking it to get my 2nd oil change. 1 leak where you describe it and the other was the transmission cooler. Let me see if i can attach the work done, just got it back last night
I too have a '21 Rubicon and so far I've had several issues (just hit 10k miles believe it or not). In fall of '21 I had roof leak so they replaced back glass and no issues since. My 3rd break light went out summer of '22 and they replaced. Now I just took it in for 2nd Wave oil change and they...
For what its worth after the dealer replaced my glass back in Oct '21 it hasn't leaked. I recently moved from TX to WA back in January and still no leaks in spite of switching to a colder, more rainy climate.
Depends on your use-case. I love the look and feel of bedrug. I purchased the mat version while i waited on the full bedrug to ship and now i use the mat over the bedrug with a paint matched 2x4 to hold it down in the separator slot.
Ouch yeah that would be a pain to remove if it etarts leaking again. I removed my soft bed cover before i took it over there this morning. After reading all of the horror stories i am just hoping it doesn’t leak any more and they don’t scratch or break anything else.
Yeah i have a towel for separation as well. Hopefully it stays resolved but on the other thread with a ton of replies someone had the dealer use flowable silicone as a temp fix and now the glass company won’t replace the glass.
Yeah the whole bring it in for a few days is so bogus. I left mine for 3 days and they couldn’t find the leak (or so they say). In the end they accepted my photos for warranty claim so now i am waiting on backordered glass. Jeep wave still hasn’t contacted me after they said they would 2 weeks...
Update on my leak. Dealer was unable to replicate the leak but was able to successfully submit a claim with photos i provided. Glass is on backorder so now the waiting game.
That’s weird considering the consensus is that they will have to break the glass regardless. Is the urethane easier to remove than the flowable silicone? I was considering the flowable silicone option but now I’m wary given your experience.
I have them as well but i use the key to lock my seats and for the gas cap. An extra layer of security is worth the 2 seconds it takes to unlock it for me. If you’re in a low crime or low populated area then yeah it’s probably not worth it.
Had mine on for a while now. Initially was awkward turning the cap while holding the key but now its nothing. Don’t consider it a “hassle” as I don’t use the key for much else.
Jeep is pretty much on Comcast level of customer service in my book. Dropped my truck off for diagnosis on this issue Monday at 8am and called at about 4pm for an update yesterday, left voicemail since the SA wasn’t available. Called again an hour later and they stated the SA was on the phone...
I asked if I could bring it in the day they were going to diagnose and he said no so I left. No way am I leaving it for that long. I already had a bad experience with this dealer which is why I didn't purchase there, may have to drive further for a better experience.
Dealer was trying to tell me to leave the truck for 2-3 days to diagnose a well-documented leak... Is this normal behavior because I do not trust them(especially this dealer) at all.
Add me to the list. 4/2021 date so almost made it a year of being built. I have less than 3,000 miles. Not pleased considering I paid top dollar for ceramic tint and I do not have covered parking. @JeepCares
