  1. About to install a Tazer JL mini and found there is a Powerteq in there

What’s odd to me is that someone installed the Powerteq but didn’t fix the tire size (it seems anyway). Maybe it was installed before the tires changed size. Who knows.
  2. About to install a Tazer JL mini and found there is a Powerteq in there

Yes…it’s the bypass in the picture Gren71 posted. From what ive read (and you are saying) ….you control the Tazer through the dash console but the Powerteq deal requires a separate programmer tied to the vin etc. which may be a hassle to figure out… So just removing that Powerteq bypass and...
  3. About to install a Tazer JL mini and found there is a Powerteq in there

It looks like I need a programmer to use the Powerteq….which I don’t have. Is that correct?
  4. About to install a Tazer JL mini and found there is a Powerteq in there

I bought the Tazer mainly to fix the speedometer. A previous owner had installed 35’s. When I pulled the panel I found a Powerteq module installed. Not sure what to do. How different are they? Thanks!
  5. Must have options from factory?

The factory steel bumper is nice, particularly if you want a winch. When I was looking almost none of them on the lots had one. I installed a winch a few days ago. Went in nice and easy. It still took about three hours but it bolted on as prescribed. Also…if you plan to tow, the factory brake...
  6. Can you see if a previous owner had installed a leveling kit?

I bought my 2020 Rubicon used with 35’s on it. I’ve been reading up on leveling kits…really out of curiosity…but it got me thinking whether I don’t already have one installed. It looks to me to not have that factory rake. Ive looked up to the top of the spring and it’s hard to see anything...
  7. Any tip/experience towing U-Haul 4x8 cargo trailer?

I just towed a 6x12 from uhaul. For my Rubicon with 35’s a 4” drop ball mount and 2” ball was perfect.
  8. TPMS reading high

Roger that…thanks for the info. ?
  9. Front left suspension feels notchy, and leaking liquid when parked

Scratching my head here…5 months with a loaner over a leaky shock?!
  10. Driving your gladiator off the paved road

A Jeep like ours does not make driving down bumpy roads any less bumpy. It’s actually the opposite. A Nissan Sentra would feel better in the cab…provided it doesn’t bottom out ;-> Solid axles come at the price of driver comfort. The strength, traction, & flexibility of solid axles is their mojo...
  11. TPMS reading high

I have a 2020 Rubicon that I bought used with 35’s on it. Well actually 315/70 R17 BFG KO2’s which are 34.4” in diameter. Apparently it hasn't been recalibrated. The speedometer is obviously off. I did some research here and ordered a Tazer to fix that etc. My tire pressures seem to be off...
  12. Renewed Enthusiasm

I’m with you. I have a bunch of older Jeep’s…FSJ’s & CJ’s. I trailered my built CJ-7 all over the east coast doing the hardest trails I could find. I kinda got burned out on it. My Gladiator Rubicon has really rejuvenated my interest. I’m not ready to beat the snot out of it like my CJ’s but...
  13. Zero Issues with Gladiator?

Why do you keep buying them? I’m not trying to be provocative here. Just curious. I own a lot of Jeeps and have owned many more. Most of them much older and of all varieties. I never bought one for it’s reliability rating. I’ve beat the piss out of many of them on the trail and always gotten...
  14. Zero Issues with Gladiator?

    That’s some bad luck man….Godspeed!
  15. No problems

2020 Rubicon, 41,000 miles. All good.
  16. Trying to decide between the Mopar hard fold-up and the Rugged Ridge hard fold-up tonneau

Can’t comment on those but I love my factory roll top cover. It looks great and is very easy to use.
  17. Death Wobble at 7500k miles

If it’s really Death Wobble…there would be no way to pick up your phone up and a film it. Slowing down with a two hand white knuckle grip is the only way to stop it. You can get really cheap dash cams…maybe an option
