Really rear stage just makes your front stage worse. Not everyone agrees but I approach it like a live show where the music is coming from in front of you.
Rear speakers pull the staging back and, IMO, this degrades the front stage. This was more of a SQ install, you rarely see rear stage in...
This is an overview of the system I installed into my Gladiator in late 2024. All work was performed by myself in the parking lot (lol) of my apt building.
The basic system design is:
Front speakers are 2-Way Infiniti BeTA 621Be 6.5" Components in stock location. Beryllium tweeter, carbon mid...
P2 in a series 'How it should have come from the factory'.
[Summary]
Interested in increasing the output and responsiveness of the EcoDiesel power plant, I was considering a Banks Banks PowerPack or a Green Diesel Engineering tune.
Negatives of these tuners, the Banks with the required gauge...
That's awesome, your truck looks much better and I'm glad you're enjoying the handling change.
On a side note, after driving mine more I'm seeing some slight porpoising which feels like the rear of the vehicle is just a bit under-valved. I think some slightly stiffer shocks in the back will...
I replaced the shocks specifically because the information I was able to find indicated that the Bilstein shocks had greater damping ability (I.e. valved stiffer) than the stock Fox shocks.
I felt the stock suspension was both under sprung and under damped. The Bilstein shocks were about a 1/2...
For sure, how was it released in that state? Hard to believe any meaningful testing was ever performed during development.
I’ve heard the Mopar 2” lift was a good solution as well, mine was more of a super low cost approach.
This has probably been addressed a few different ways but I thought I would share my approach. If you have a Diesel Rubicon (other trims are probably similar) you know how soft the front suspension in. IMO it is under sprung and under damped. The front end wallowed and smacked the bumpstops on a...
This modification came about from the factory (optional) steel bumper not having a provision for a hard shackle. There are some aftermarket solutions to add hard shackle support, but they are rather expensive.
This mod will work best with a soft shackle and will eliminate the ability for the...
Well that is interesting, I assumed it was unibody all the way back (and flexy like the XJ). Regarding the “crease”, there was no impact mark that I remember, the paint was pristine (loved it at the time).
We’re talking almost 30 years ago so who knows. I was surprised by the payload ratings...
I had a ‘91 Comanche Chief 4.0L 5sp, 4x4 in the 90’s. I liked it at the time but it wasn’t a great truck. Mild lift, Tomkin Machine lower control arms, 31” tires. Got it stuck first week I owned it, front end dropped into some sticky mud. When I got out of the truck I noticed the middle bed side...
So is global climate change man made and what evidence is there for it? Another question is what are the consequences of humans pumping carbon into the atmosphere since the 1850’s?
There is a scientific consensus (over 97% of actively publishing climate scientists. Source...
I read on this forum about a guy who used a 2nd ECM. My concern would be that I believe the ECM tracks engine starts so potentially you could have 5 starts logged and 10k miles on the truck which could be a flag and get your warranty denied.
Just a (possibly paranoid) thought.
Been waiting for the EcoDiesel to come to the JK/JL for a long time; V8 torque and improved fuel economy seemed like a no-brainer.
Traded in my 3rd Pentastar JK for this JTR a couple weeks ago (4 month order wait) and I’ve been super impressed with this gen of the EcoDiesel. It’s fast and fun...
