It depends... Better ride and handling are subjective. On-road and washboards I think the Mojave is way ahead of the rubicon. In slower rocky terrain I think the Rubicon is better equipped to handle that terrain.

Having dealt with this on my JKs, I recommend getting some touch-up paint (paintscratch.com is where I get mine) and repairing the chips. Once you repair them throw some of the clear protectant film over the hinges to help ward off any more chips.
