I put 4.88's on prior to towing 4000lb trailer cross country. It was perfect. My theory is if your going to spend the money, go with enough difference that you can notice the improvement. It's also more responsive to drive without the trailer. I didn't buy this truck to go fast but its nice to...
I also regeared to 4.88 revolution gears. Used Bull Run 4x4 in northern Va. Excellent work and amazing difference with 35"s. Went 4.88 instead of 4.56 since I pull a camper from time to time.
I have the same set up and was unable to roll the cover with the swing gates in place on the front end of the drivers side. It might be doable if you only have the gate on the back half before there is enough height in the tonneau cover roll.
Whole-heartedly agree with Colorado and Utah. Just came back from 3 weeks going cross country and they were the highlight for sure. Next on my list is Idaho!
For such a well advertised brand it seems the Goodyear tire is not a favorite of the offroad community. Anyone got a feel for why this is? I've never run them so don't have an opinion.
rock hard makes a stubby with a winch that sets well below the camera. I have the mid width bumper which will give you some idea. The nice thing about this bumper is it has a skid plate that fits the Mojave without any alteration.
I rented a wrangler 4xe just to evaluate the difference. It came with 0 charge so I paid to charge it up. In a drive from Boston to Portland Maine, it started out with high 20's mileage but once the batteries were exhausted at about 50 miles the milage rapidly dropped and by the time I finished...
I second this. My rock hard bumper has been great. Integrated skid plate that even works with the Mojave. Winch sets below grill and behind bumper so is well protected and doesn’t impede air flow.
Thanks for the intel Definitely have Shafer trail and Onion creek on our list. Don't actually make it to Moab until the 4th as we are driving from Virginia so probably miss the Labor day crowds but do have my GMRS on board.
Looks awesome. Heading out to Moab in 2 weeks. I was thinking I might try Fins and Things. Do you have any lift? What size tires? I am running 35s on a stock 2020 Mojave, just wondering if it will be pushing my luck to tackle that trail?
