Im glad someone else realized this. I've been pricing out a build for a while now, and I realized that all the things I wanted had overlap.. But they sure don't discount! .. looking at you alternator.
Those are called handle nuts. They stop the nut from spinning. I learned about these when putting a hitch on my TJ.
I'll warn you.. asking people about handle nuts can lead to some awkward conversations!
Welcome to my world.
The only thing I want.. is an MT, and creature comforts.
The Rubicon features are wasted on me.
But of course I'm forced into a Rubicon now, or a sport for the MT. Both within a few thousand of eachother.
Go look at the models on the website.. figure out exactly what...
I checked with my neighbor who works here, she's confirmed that the 2022s can't be ordered in Canada anymore.
She said I should go for the Rubicon... But meh.. it's an additional 6000$ here, and I'm not gaining anything practical.
There's a few used Overlands around, but none of them are...
I'm forcing myself to look at the finances this afternoon to see if it's feasible.. I don't like making emotionally based decisions.. especially when it's a 70,000 cdn purchase ☹️
I'm the guy they made the Overland for.. it's exactly what I want. Some creature comforts on the inside, no...
☹️
Wtf. I've been saving to get an Overland with the manual, thinking I had some time before the whole thing was axed..
And now I read this!
Looks like my day is ruined
Not crazy.
I priced out an overland, equipped the way I would like it.
75,000$ CDN after tax.
That double then what I've paid for the 4 cars I've bought in my life combined.
Even if I put 30,000 down.. I'm going to pay essentially 1000$/month for 4 years??
I never see these things on...
