I actually got them off eBay from a seller called sealed deals. They shipped very fast and the price is right. I would recommend a leather punch for making holes in the felt to push the zip ties through and a curved tip needle nose makes life much easier.
Steering Wheel:
I loved the way the Mojave steering wheel felt, and have always been a sucker for thick flat bottomed steering wheels so I decided to try find a custom one. I ended up finding one on Etsy by OffroadAutomotives that is currently not available anymore. It was 350 and looked like...
Katzkin Seats:
I’ve always wanted red leather and after seeing a few pictures I decided the gladiator with the sting gray was the perfect time to scratch that itch. I went with Katzkin after some research and the seats are absolutely beautiful.
Ended up installing these myself. The install was...
Rims and Tires:
Decided the black rims have been way too popular, and since this is a base I decided to go a little retro. Quadratec retro white rims fit the bill. Tires are Firestone Destination AT2’s in a P285/70/17 with white lettering
Rims: Finish was great, seems uniform and well covered...
Get ‘em while you can guys. Only 63lbs a tire as well.

EDIT: Don’t purchase, ymmv but this thread goes over receiving the wrong tires. Knew it was too good to be true...
That’s fair too, you have experience with it and others should respect that your opinion is valid. Some may love how theirs feels to them though, so to each their own. The best advice we can give a prospective buyer is to go do an extensive test drive of multiple models to see what model will...
How about we take this down a notch and get back to what the op wanted answered.
Ride quality is subjective, meaning it’s all personal opinion @JET_83 likes overland and sports. That’s okay. Not everyone is going to share that opinion because it’s subjective. Other people like the feeling of a...
At 20lbs a corner you’re going to notice a difference in acceleration and braking. Bumps will hit slightly less hard. You may see a few tenths in mpg gained with this weight difference as well. It will not solve wandering. Decreasing air pressure or doing some steering modifications like some...
I would look into Firestone destination at2 tires in a P285/70/R17. They are oem size, rated for 2833 lbs, and only have a weight of 41lbs per tire saving you almost 20lbs per corner. You’ll easily feel the difference. They still have an aggressive look and are 3 peak rated.
Hey all, thanks for checking out my build.
This is going to be my first real Jeep, and first vehicle that I will be doing mods too. My goals going into this was to keep my purchase price under 40k and get as much for my money as possible with my mods. This was a struggle since in 2022 prices...
Ordered Jan 4th. VIN assigned Jan 22nd. Delivered Feb 19th. It was really a quick turn around. It helped that mine was a base (yes manual locks and windows) sport max tow. Dealer said with supply shortages the more basic the vehicles they order the faster they arrived.
