It seems that I am still loosing a little coolant, but It does seem to be a little slower. Its been about 5,000 miles since I replaced the EGR cooler. Its hard to say exactly, but the coolant level seems to have gone down about half the distance between Max and Min., which might be 4 ounces...
@Jaxmax was the inspiration for my plastic bumper winch installation. LOD Signature Winch Plate and Warn 9.0 RC winch. Jaxmax was able to fit his contactor under his hood, but I don't have the raised hood that he has so I mounted it next to the winch, it just fits!
Thanks @ZeeJay !
I'll upload a picture of the EGR cooler removed at about 37,000 miles. Maybe you can comment on its condition? Hopefully it is a case of my bench testing not showing a leak even thought its bad. It would make my spending 1k on the the Bulletproof Diesel HP EGR cooler not so...
Yeh, my local dealers doesn’t seem to know anything about these engines either. They did a pressure test on the cooling system and said nothing leaked out on the ground so everything is fine. I sent an engine oil sample to Blackstone Labs and specifically said I was concerned about the...
It sounds like your consumption is 30x what mine is! I installed the high pressure EGR cooler made by Bullet Proof Diesel. The cooler removed had the cooling passages 1/4 plugged with soot already at 37k miles! I want to get the GFE tune to reduce this. I pressure tested the removed cooler...
@fourta
It was not that hard once I figured out how to remove the foam insulation that sits on top it it. I thought I needed to remove the battery to remove the nut that holds it in place. It turns out you can just slide a wrench alongside the battery box and just loosen it a bit. Other than...
I have a 2022 Ecodiesel Gladiator with 34,000 miles. Over the last year I have had to add small amounts of coolant to keep the level above the "Min" line in the "expansion" tank, adding 8 or 16 ounces of coolant at a time for a total of 40 ounces.
In December I had the truck at a local dealer...
I have been driving a diesel since my 1982 VW Rabbit. When I change my fuel filters I always drain them into a clear glass container. In almost 40 years I have never seen a drop of water.
When I purchased my gladiator I did a lot of research on this and came up with what I think is a pretty good system. On the front I have the Rhino Rack Backbone system, but instead of using the Rhino Rack crossbars I purchased 78” Yakima HD crossbars. Rhino Rack sells a plastic spacer that can...
I remove my nozzle excluder a few months ago by removing the entire assembly first. I read all the posts about pushing in the “tabs” to remove the excluder. When I pushed on the “tabs” there was no way they were going to budge. They really are not “tabs”, but rather raised bosses. After...
I am in Philly and recently purchased a 5 set of Overland wheels with just a couple hundred miles on them for $800 on FB Marketplace. There were plenty of 4 sets available for $500 with a few thousand miles on them up to about 10,000 miles. These were available for many weeks without selling...
I am leaving on a 2,000 mile trip in another two days and don’t trust this dealer now so I used two cans of brake clean to get things in reasonable shape. I am unsure if the pads are shot regardless of how well they have been cleaned. I have read where others have had pads and rotors replaced...
Since there is talk of contaminated brakes, here is my condition. I recentlyhad my leaking rear passenger seal replaced by a local dealer. When I picked up the vehicle I did not see anything on the invoice about cleaning or replacing the brakes. I asked the service manager about this and he told...
I recently installed the Mopar trailer brake controller in my Gladiator that was built in February of 2022. There was a second wire harness connector not used for the trailer brake that was tucked into the area where the module gets bolted in place. It was held there by a several square inch...
Good to hear some are arriving at Gupton! My wife and I have an order heading there. The window sticker was generated on 2/13 and the estimated arrival keeps getting pushed back. A week ago it was 3/11 - 3/22. Maybe it was part of the same delivery? It's a Sarge Green Overland Ecodiesel...
