  2. Choosing a lift

Tend not to find what you don't look for . I've spent every spare minute of the last couple months reading all the experiences i could find . i have been around jeeps since 1972 . I have been driving the same Yj for 32 years , 3 restorations . restored a couple cj7's and a 48 cj2a i still...
  3. Choosing a lift

there is plenty of cases on these forums of johnny joints getting noisy in less than a year. im sure that is not always the case , but just looking at the design tells a logical person they may need frequent service as compared to o.e bushings.
  4. Choosing a lift

i do agree i would have liked to stick with one brand in a kit , but the more i looked the more i decided no one offered the complete package i wanted . My hangup is i was sold on the rock krawler triagulated rear upper , and the teraflex control arms . At that point it was gonna be a mix and...
  5. Choosing a lift

A couple of reasons why i did this , i wanted the rock krawler triangulated rear to get rid of the track bar . but i do not particularly care for the joints in their links from a long term maintenace free standpoint . i am not willing to downgrade my fox shocks to any lift kit house brands , i...
  6. Poor Dealer service

I certainly see that becoming the norm ,but i too was a dealer tech at Gm , now an independent . So im still going to hold them to my standards , i've paid my dues and have every right to judge these matters .
  7. Choosing a lift

Well ,totally changed my plans here . Was trying to get the updated steering gear put on at dealer before i lift it , then was going to pick up the mopar kit when i picked up the jeep . Got jerked around big time {see poor dealer service post} . So ive built a kit out of parts on ebay as i got...
  8. Poor Dealer service

I took my 2020 Jt rubicon in for a few warranty issues as im at 34k miles . I had it wrote up for poor steering feel /wandering , A pillar dripping water inside and rear window leak . The tsb's are out for a steering box upgrade and new header seal and water deflectors for the first 2 concerns ...
  9. Choosing a lift

After considering this all day, looking at options and prices, im pretty sure im gonna go with the mopar kit. I think it's well worth the 1300. then add metal cloak lower control arms and synergy ft track bar, that will get me lifted now and ill add the rock krawler triangulated rear kit later...
  10. Choosing a lift

thanks , yeah the drop brackets for the front are something i have in consideration as well . couple hundred over budget isn't a big deal , but i would like some quality falcon or fox shocks included .
  11. Choosing a lift

I like alot of the metalcloak stuff , especially the control arms . But i think i want a different brand of track bar and i hate those stacked pads metalcloak uses for rear bump stop extensions , they look like poop .
  12. Choosing a lift

Thanks , im considering doing something similar and piecing together a kit. i really just can't find everthing i want in one package . i really want the Rock Krawler triangulated rear 4 link so i can ditch the rear track bar.
  13. Choosing a lift

my hangup there is 1. no shocks 2. track bar not adjustable without removing one end . what did you choose for shocks ?
  14. Choosing a lift

Had my Gladiator for a couple months now and ready to install a mild lift . I've set a budget at about 2k for this . My local Jeep dealer will sell me the mopar kit for $1300 , which i would add a front track bar and synergy sector shaft brace to. The other interesting option is the...
