  1. Fluids temperature norms

Primarily building HVAC systems. Some lighting controls, generators, lab gas systems, etc.
  2. Fluids temperature norms

Seeing OAT Makes me think you may be in my industry. I am a commissioning engineer. You?
  3. Rear sway bar delete?

Thank you again. I will re-install my OEM bar and save up for a Hellwig. I also have a 200lb Alu-Cab RTT that was not installed this weekend. I imagine the Hellwig is the right choice and would pair nicely with the heavy Rubicon front sway bar. A truck with canopy, RTT above the cab height...
  4. Rear sway bar delete?

Thanks. I like the RockJock, but I’m hesitant to drop that much dough on just the rear, and to ditch the rubicon front. But I’ll do what I need to do if it makes the difference. See my more recent response about my weekend and feeling scared on a cliff.
  5. Rear sway bar delete?

Thanks for the reply. Good info and goes along with my theory. I came across this thread after a sketchy off road experience. I’m curious to hear your thoughts. I drive a 2020 TJ Rubicon lifted 3.5” on 38s with a 135lb Alu-Cab canopy. This weekend I decided to remove my rear sway bar for a trail...
  6. Rear sway bar delete?

Please politely correct me if I’m incorrect, but I don’t understand why we would want to reduce rear wheel articulation in order to increase front wheel articulation. While it makes sense that having a rear sway bar increases front wheel articulation, articulation isn’t the goal. Rather the...
  7. Reaching out to those doing their own shock tuning?

I successfully changed the rebound damping in my rear shocks after receiving them back from Accutune. My new rebound valving made a huge difference, but it could possibly use more damping. There’s also a rebound free bleed shim on the compression stack; and I left it there. Clearly they’re not...
  8. Anyone had issues with their Fox Shocks?

By chance did the change in ride quality coincide with the change to the ATZ tires? What load rating are they? I have D load BFG KO2 and can’t wait to change to C Load tires. Heavy load tires need more air to avoid losing power and sucking down extra gas, but then they ride harsh.

One thing I like about Bilstein is they share every detail about their tune. I don’t know of another brand that shares the valving specs.
  10. Reaching out to those doing their own shock tuning?

I actually had zero rebound damping at all. This is the 1.6” rebound shim on the 1.8” port facing the rebound stack. So it was open flood gates on rebound.
  11. Reaching out to those doing their own shock tuning?

Good news I have bleed shims. But with the 1.6” diameter ports facing the 1.8” diameter bleed shim, it wasn’t doing anything.
  12. Reaching out to those doing their own shock tuning?

I think that would be smoother at 105 mph and 30” of wheel travel. update on my end, Accutune paid for round trip shipping to go through my shocks since I found one piston upside down. i got the tool to open them, and have all the heavier shims, but I’ll try it out after they fix them and go...
  13. Are those shocks installed upside down?

That would wreak havoc on my Fox 2.5 DSC shocks. The adjuster detent balls oxidize and bind the adjusters.
  14. Reaching out to those doing their own shock tuning?

I understand the pain. The racers are adopting the electronic suspension with incredible improvements in times. In five years, we will all be riding on electronic shocks. Right now it’s tough to find shocks, so you could sell yours.
  15. Are those shocks installed upside down?

Great questions. Having an internal floating piston with high pressure nitrogen on one side keeps the oil under pressure and free of air. And if there was a possibility of contaminants finding their way in, it would be very difficult with 200+ psi pressing against the seals. Your basic oem Fox...
  16. Are those shocks installed upside down?

And perhaps aesthetics. Many pay $3000 just to see their shocks. They’d be harder to see down on the axle.
  17. Reaching out to those doing their own shock tuning?

Lead time is less than ideal with many of the brands. But it’s their unwillingness to help that is getting to me. I’ll reach out to King for a talk. Perhaps I’ll see they are similar. I could look at the Bilstein 8100 external bypass.Externally adjustable rebound would be awesome, as well as the...

I’m starting a new campaign, “My Shocks, My Choice”
  19. Reaching out to those doing their own shock tuning?

I’m thinking of going this route and selling the Fox. I won’t get the OEM kit though. They cheap out on some of the internals and the shaft ends, and have packaged shim stacks.

    I ordered this. https://www.motionpro.com/product/08-0673
