I had a similar issue on my 22 Overland and it resolved itself. I got mine end of March and I haven't made any modifications or used a Tazer. One option is to go to our dealer and ask them to reflash the software. It'll take an hour or so to do and should resolve the issue.

We use the Thule Apex XT hitch mounted bike rack - it fits 4 bikes and leaves the bed open to haul other stuff. It really comes in handy on other vehicles with a hitch because then you can still open the trunk with the bike rack and bikes attached.
