Hello all! I have not liked the way my trans has shifted from the day I got it. The shifting always seems to be unpredictable and at times seems to hang in a gear for no good reason, so I force it to shift. I have a 2020 Rubicon with a Hamburger Supercharger, stock gearing on 35's. I have...
It really works. I do it a couple times every time I change the oil. Sometimes, I do it for shitz and gigz. I havent had any issues, yet. You just have to hold the RPM up a little to keep it from stallling when as it goes through the range.
Honestly, that was the only oil they had at the time in a 5w-30. Plus, it is not staying in there long. I am still doing rapid oil changes post cam swap. I figured it wouldnt hurt to try it.
Mine is insanely quiet now compared to before. I also used the JSCAN to clean cam phasers a few times after my camshaft swap. It seems to keep getting quieter as time goes on. Im using the Royal Purple 5w-30 with zinc added. That was what was on the shelf at the time, but seems to be doing good...
Thank you for this information. I have been looking for ways to get this done. I knew there had to be a way for HP to do it, but I couldnt find information on it and I havent had time to HP yet. I need to make that time! Thank you, again.
So far,
After I replaced all the intake lifters, rockers, and B1 Cam, I replace the computer with one from HP so I could have COSpeed look at the tuning. Then, and only then, did the Jeep start throwing a relavant code. P0017 (Cam Position Sensor). I figured 2 of 3 things would be easy to...
What it came down to was, when i found that the part number was replaced by a new one. I saw a couple places that had the old part number and I assumed that is what I had in my truck. So, I made sure that they were all matching NEW part numbered items. They did not look any different. They could...
I am trying the 5w30 Royal Purple w/zinc. So far, no complaints and engine sounds more amazing than ever. I have only been running on it for a few days, but i plan on running this out to around 5k miles. Hopefully, I will remember to come back with follow up.
All lifters were correct, but upon purchasing the new ones, it looked like there was an update, so I purchased all 12 as well as all new rockers. There is still a slight tick and I have a P0017 code. I am waiting on a new CPS and VVL Solenoid to show up. I think the ultimate cause is a defective...
Im thinking of stepping up the oil as well. Im about to do another short oil cylce to flush out particles, but I have been looking at going up in weight due to exactly what you are talking about. So, maybe I will go straight to 5w30 and see how she likes it. Im willing to try anything as I want...
This is what mine looked like at 38000 miles. every lobe was like this. I pulled both covers, because the rockers and lifters are the same part number on both sides. I replace all lifters and rockers, but not the bank 2 cam. It looked perfect. Now I have those as a backup set, if needed for the...
I just replaced my Bank 1 Intake cam as well. I am supercharged as well. Every single lobe on that cam was eaten away and the rockers were scoured badly. At the moment, I still cannot figure out why. I replaced the cam as well as all rockers and lifters for both intake cams. Still not sure I...
@ShadowPapa What was the fix for this? I have the exact same issue. I just replaced the cam and all lifters/rockers, but Im afraid its only temporary. Currently, this thread is the only thread that I have found that replicates my issue! Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am currently...
