  1. Confirmed: Gladiator 4xe coming in 2025. JT Gladiator production continues into 2028

Not correct at least yet (XRunner just a concept) - TrailHunter has the 2.4T fired with hybrid for 326hp/465tq. With 4xe Gladiator would likely only be down on power (on paper at least) against the ranger raptor. If Stellantis does not screw it up, a 3 tiered offering in the Wrangler/Gladiator...
  2. Lucky Dogs! "It Looks Like The Next Gen Dodge Charger Will Get A Gas Engine After All"

Tell that to GM. And Ford for that matter. Only Stellantis appears to be drinking their own cool-aid. Guess that what happens when a bunch of europeans think they can apply their logic/priorities to the American marketplace.
  3. New Jeep CEO Named (Antonio Filosa)

All debatable points, and from what I read, the general consensus disagrees (except maybe infotainment, but a refresh of that is coming for the Escalade). Also the Cadillac offers the V... Stellantis should have thrown a Hellcat in the thing, but their woke virtue signaling is deciding to swan...
  4. Strike has begun

I'll dip my toes in here, not to debate all of the merits of pro corporation vs employee, but everyone is missing what will likely be the outcome of all of this and that this fight is likely a bit short-sighted. If the UAW gets anywhere close to even half of their demands, the big 3 will just...
  5. 2024 Jeep Gladiator debuts with new grille, interior, more options and upper trim levels

Unless it is all part of their plan to 'force' you into the rubicon X trim, which sadly seems to be their approach.
  6. 2024 Jeep Gladiator debuts with new grille, interior, more options and upper trim levels

Not sure about that. The sheets appear to be looping Sport and Sport S together on packages. No selc trac option though (except for optional on Mojave).
  7. Gladiator vs 1500 MPG

Clearly the OP never did the pinewood derby. Aero is a big part of this. Can't believe this is even debatable.
  8. Ineos Grenadier Quartermaster

While this may be some forbidden fruit here in the USA (chicken tax), I can't help but love this truck. https://www.motor1.com/news/676677/ineos-grenadier-quartermaster-reveal-specs/ Couple things I would like Jeep to take influence for the next gen: Doors - the side profile of the Gladiator...
  9. Report: 2024 Gladiator Reveal @ NAIAS in Sept | Production Begins November | Gladiator 4xe PHEV Replacing Diesel

Bumping an old thread, not just to stir the pot, but to see if the above is still true? (I look through the JL forum too from time to time, and see that you are currently selling back to Stellantis your lemon Wrangler 4xE).
  10. Report: 2024 Gladiator Reveal @ NAIAS in Sept | Production Begins November | Gladiator 4xe PHEV Replacing Diesel

Here is the best assessment I have seen on the 4xE system towing. The main 'journalist' assessments of the 4xE that I have seen, whether for GC or Wrangler are basically puff pieces on small loops, like EPA test cycles to get the window sticker ratings: To get the full picture you should...
  11. Report: 2024 Gladiator Reveal @ NAIAS in Sept | Production Begins November | Gladiator 4xe PHEV Replacing Diesel

Not under sustained cruising, sure under deceleration/regen braking - but how much actual benefit even that will provide for hard continual demand is debatable and likely not worth the squeeze of running the downsized motor. If it does any regen during cruising, you are just robbing Peter to pay...
  12. Report: 2024 Gladiator Reveal @ NAIAS in Sept | Production Begins November | Gladiator 4xe PHEV Replacing Diesel

I am aware of how hybrids work. They perform best unloaded in urban environments. When loaded up / towing over long continual distances they will not provide a meaningful benefit and you will basically be operating with just the 2.0t and also hauling around the extra weight from the battery...
  13. Report: 2024 Gladiator Reveal @ NAIAS in Sept | Production Begins November | Gladiator 4xe PHEV Replacing Diesel

I can't argue the statement. But pairing a niche vehicle like the Gladiator with a niche powertrain like the 4xE and I'm not certain it would be able to retain the Jack of all trades moniker.
  14. Report: 2024 Gladiator Reveal @ NAIAS in Sept | Production Begins November | Gladiator 4xe PHEV Replacing Diesel

It is clear you are a fan boy for the 4xE, but a Wrangler is a different vehicle than a Gladiator. Truck people expect trucks to be able to do truck things (i.e. towing and hauling). You want a 'truck' that will impress your neighbors going from stoplight to stoplight, get a Rivian. The 4xE in...
  15. Report: 2024 Gladiator Reveal @ NAIAS in Sept | Production Begins November | Gladiator 4xe PHEV Replacing Diesel

Seems to me that the 4xE Gladiator will likely be rolled out with the same system that is already in the Wrangler, for the primary reason of having it in the portfolio for dealer stock in the CARB states. Stellantis execs themselves said the 2.0t 4XE was not up to snuff for Gladiator truck...
  16. Report: 2024 Gladiator Reveal @ NAIAS in Sept | Production Begins November | Gladiator 4xe PHEV Replacing Diesel

But the comparison against the 3.6 is not really fair, as at best case the 3.6 can be classified as just fine in the JT. The 5.7 should have been in the JT as an option from day one, but was not b/c of reasons. @jpjpjp brought up the great point on the price premium for the 4xE. We are talking...
  17. Report: 2024 Gladiator Reveal @ NAIAS in Sept | Production Begins November | Gladiator 4xe PHEV Replacing Diesel

I think it'd be better, especially for truck stuff, if they paired the electrical pieces of the 4xE with the pentastar, or better yet, an NA version of the new inline 6. But then if the inline 6 fit, I'd skip the 4XE regardless and get the twin turbo version anyway. I can't figure out some...
  18. Report: 2024 Gladiator Reveal @ NAIAS in Sept | Production Begins November | Gladiator 4xe PHEV Replacing Diesel

Don't forget about the income limit on the EV tax credit. With the prices of these rigs in mid to high trim levels (especially the 4xEs), being conservative, the individuals and couples who can easily afford the payments will be close or over the cap. For leasing, the fine print of the leasing...
  19. 2024/2025 JT+JL V6 Hurricane / 4xe / 392

Then he is getting exactly what he hoped to accomplish. You clicked and then reposted his article which makes him money. All on some wild baseless speculations...
  20. 2024/2025 JT+JL V6 Hurricane / 4xe / 392

I would not expect to see the Hurricane in the JL/JT platform (if at all) until some time after it makes its way into the Grand Cherokee and RAM 1500 platforms and the Hemi is done. Making me believe that would be a 2025/2026 launch at the earliest.
