Personally I have never ran skids in the 15 some odd years I’ve had Jeeps. My reasoning is that I daily at least one of them and I hated how hot the floor would get from the skids pushing all that heat into the cab.
All the time! I’m on the hunt for LED’s currently but I’m just waiting for a killer deal. Someone got a full set for $300 something bucks before I could get there
Went out to do some testing after adding all the stuff to the Jeeps. Biggest thing I wanted to try out was the apex disconnects. Worked flawlessly and ironically the rubi sway bar was giving my wife fits. Guess I have a new project to fix before this weekends run
I just had the metalcloak game changer installed on my rubicon. Personally I really like it, I went with the 6pak shocks. Personal opinion, don’t run spacers, if you can afford the wheels get ones that’ll work without spacers. I know they’ve changed from the early 2000’s but it’s one less part...
Honestly I was skeptical because they’re $500. But, once I got them I noticed how beefy they were, and the install was simple enough. I haven’t tested them more than climbing things around the neighborhood. It’s super awesome to disconnect a thousand times easier versus the old school method.
I dig it! 37’s with 4.88 are great, I have a rubicon on 37’s (4.88 gears) with a 2.5” metal cloak game changer with the 6pak shocks. Moves extremely good I will probably end up with going to 40’s on that one. I would recommend 4.56 or 4.88’s but I’m no professional I just build these to keep...
Well have a seat and a drink lol, I have a rebel off-road full rack, Mopar Beadlock wheels with “Linda’s sunset” belton spray paint for the rings, 35x12.5 general X3’s, Apex quick disconnects, rough country tube bumper with the lights they include (front), warn evo 10-s winch, currently waiting...
I am going to, I’m not fully finished with the lights yet I was waiting for my switch panel to come in. Had the idea of running the pods to my fog lights so I can just use that switch and save some space for the other electronics.
