Sorry missed this one. The shocks come with a M14 Bolt spacer (Mojave) and a reduce sleeve to M12 (standard non Mojave applications). Mojave applications simply slide out the reducer sleeve. Very simple and effective.
I have them bolted on my wrangler and these are bolted on this gladiator. There should be enough room to not contact the body. There is some adjustment so you can make the gap wider or narrower.

It only sticks out 3" inches from the tail gate. Not much of a step anyway. I usually use the tire.
I don't have any pics at the moment. I'll grab some tomorrow.
The shackle point are high to maximize departure angle.
