:) it’s very true. That info is bang on. The dealer network and parts support for Toyota is their Crown Jewels here.
The thing with Jeep is it has a different opportunity to be successful here. Interesting products with a pulse, some excitement, plenty of character, flair for off-road hardware...
No not really. Jeeps got a little pricey from 21-24. But they’ve adjusted pricing quite a bit in 025.
And tbh all the comparable w/ similar features top brand double cab utility vehicles are about the same price.
I definitely do not agree with this. I can tell you that if Jeep sold a highly...
Ahh I see yes I remember. Nice to cross paths again.
You’re correct, 100pc. Excellent observations. Yes, it’s exactly the same out west. Probably more so bc it’s where most of the mining takes place.
However, ppl here have a soft spot in their hearts for Jeeps. Jeep has occasionally knocked it...
My pleasure - in agreement with Hurricane 6 thinking.
…waiting for the day Jeep put TT inline 6 power in the Gladiator.
Big demand for a 5.7L hemi V8 option in jeep home NA market, I get it. 100. It’s what ppl want. I hope it happens.
For the international markets, Jeep needs the Hurricane...
Jeep will do the hurricane TT. Don’t listen to the neigh sayers. The smart money should be on the GMTE6 for that narrow little JT engine bay. That motor alone would transform JT sales.
the fact that the JT has done as well as it has with a small displacement nat. asp. bent 6 pays testament to...
x2. That’s v similar to my experience with them on my rig. In reality very fine adjustments make a large difference to “spring” rate. Yet fine adjustments are difficult in the pressure spectrum we’re talking about ie +1x atmosphere.
love seeing a Glad work hard like that. Enjoying these and all pics. Lovely pics.
i also muck around w some rubber pads underneath, I notice it greatly improves initial impact cushioning.
As can be seen in the real world a vehicle sometimes has to earn its keep/work.
dead right re being one...
here’s mine at 10psi. 12psi is max for my rig. At 14 the ride just gets destroyed.
Are yours cross-linked? Or independent? I’ve had both. I prefer independent.
that way I can run maybe 10on one side and 12 on the other, if the load is a little more to one side.
I have the valves here at the...
yep and 10-12psi is full. Yours look to be over filled right now. (Bulging).
bags are different to bellows. They utilise the effects of low pressure applied to a large surface (internal) area (of the bag).
over filling them achieves zero additional functionality from them. And ruins your ride...
Seemingly an imperceptible joke. Aka a play on words. I thought a good one to. But then maybe that’s my simple mind…
Actually the gladiator has a lot more in common in terms of platform heritage/concept with the hurricane equiped willys truck than it’s actual namesake - the gladiator.
…and...
I’d take a detuned version w 25% higher cooling capacity, some skinny knobly tyres and a cloth interior. Pls Jeep.
why the hell can’t a Jeep be a working man’s truck anymore? Isn’t that a “lifestyle” anyway?
Pioneer Edition pls w some throw back 80’s working class decals like the OG Pioneer...
yes sir good gringo that’s why I was impressed with your report! You really got out there and saw it warts n all. A lot of the city folk here don’t even do that. Don’t even know their own country. What makes it tick and what keeps the lights on. Gringo did great! ;)
originally called a roo bar...
Nice trip! Amazing work. You saw the place alright. yeah you nailed it regards the Toyota secret weapon. The dealer network.
they got that sorted since waaaay back like early 70’s. Credit to them for connecting the dots and realising how to build a mote around their business here in aus. It’s...
yeah, all true. nice u know your wranglers and use them.
For me, if jeep could get the quality/reliability 50% better, and offer the right engine options for the market, I’d rather have the jeep.
the Toyotas are amazing in their own right. As everyone has said. Yet they lack the character and...
and wouldn’t be the first forced induction straight six shooter in an open top Jeep!
If jeep aus ever sell a Hurricane six gladiator in fathom blue, they’ve already got my money…
In the country regions and the outback, reliability is a massive factor. It’s not a place where it’s practical to break down. That will sound odd. But it’s really not odd. It’s real.
There’s a scale and at one end is “costing tens of thousands” and at the other end is “slowly dying of thirst”...
This is about the only 100% Ev direction that interests me.
Now that 4xe glady is dead I might just have to turn one of my old Jeeps into something like this.
good to see some normal Australians on the internet for once. No cutoff sleeve cowboy hat loud mouth try hard red necks for once
Called? Doubtful. You mean tweeted don’t u
I don’t have anything against a lot of the ideas. I’ve got a lot against the execution thereof, the antics and personal attacks on allies
