I drove 3 hours today to finalize buying a F-350 Super Duty DRW. We caught the camping bug but the Gladiator doesn't have the capacity we need to pull a 5th wheel. Monday the Gladiator and our hybrid camper are going up for sale. It's been a fun truck and this has been an awesome site to learn...
Cool mod. I've been thinking about doing something similar. My predator 3500 generator and fuel cans are about an inch too tall for the hard tonneau to full close.
Just returned from a 30 mile trip towing a 3500lb trailer. 2020 Sport S with a MT. 104,000 miles, changed diff fluid around the 95k mark. This evening, I noticed a bit of a drag, and the Jeep didn't roll freely. I initially thought that the manual brake was dragging. As I was pulling the wheels...
I suppose your reply is somehow "on TOPIC"?
Like other posters, I was simply giving the OP an alternative. Sometimes things get posted that others didn't know was an option.
Over head Molle with rear facing monitor for my rearview camera on my trailer., Redarch brake controller, GMRS radio. For some reason I cannot upload pictures from my phone on this site. Its only this site. No idea why, and my messages go unanswered. Oh well, here is my set up.
I installed the rear shocks today. The fronts are still in transit. It went pretty smoothly. I guess 104k miles were a tad too many. The old shocks were shot. Now the backend feels smooth and planted.
One of the 4 Bilstein 5100 shocks arrived this evening. The others are suppose to be here tomorrow. While I'm under the Gladiator I'm adding airbags inside the coils. BUT, which way are the shocks supposed to be oriented? Dust cover end up or down?
I'm going with 5.13s next month. 35s no other added accessories other than a tonneau cover. But I do live in the hills and pull a 3500lb camper, oh yeah, I only have 6 gears ;)
I have the RAM mount. I like it but rarely use it. I don't like anything obstructing my vision. I just ordered the apex Crow overhead molle panel. It'll hold my campers rear view camera monitor.
I tried this on my cowl. It only lasted about a month and half. No way would it be economical or even practical for the bed liner. It comes as pre-soaked towels that are very small. I think there are 6 in the box. One towel barely finished my cowl.
Ill toss the top back and drive around town. Sometimes Ill jump on the highway on the way back. I usually cruise around 80 mph and have not had any issues.
We just had Discount tire mount 4 new tires on my travel trailer. And next week they will get our business for my wife's car. @Discount Tire for the win!
I have a MT and I'm on 35's. I do tow a heavy trailer all around the Ozark mountains (NW Arkansas). How do you like the 5.13s ? Would you recommend them over 4.88 for towing?
