Thanks for confirming that it wasn't all just me then!
I thought about airing down more but didn't want too go low and pop a bead. I'm not sure how easy it is for that to happen but I did read it's possible.
I'll have to try the sway bar disconnect next time. I need to get out there with...
Yep, aired down to 25 psi which I'm sure helped! Just didn't expect to get shaken up so much based on what I had previously read. We have a stock Rubicon. My wife thought it would be a nice leisurely drive with some great views but instead got her brain rattled loose. :CWL:
Wow, that's cool! We went up there last week for our first time "off road" in our Gladiator. I was surprised at how rocky and bumpy it was. I had read that regular cars can do it since it's basically a fire road but that wasn't my experience! Is this just because I'm a newbie or is it kind...
I'm still here, just lurking. :bandit: I definitely want to hit Four Peaks (since it seems like a good newbie run) but we've had so much going on lately! And I wasn't monitoring the forums. Hopefully, we'll make it out one of these days though.
On a side note I've seen a Gladiator group on...
In our case we already knew we weren't planning on keeping it but just playing the game. Our guy was honest and offered all of the additional options (oil changes, pain protection, etc.) but we went with the regular plan.
Our situation was almost exactly the same. Traded our RAM 2500 and we...
We're in the same situation. I'm about to cancel the warranty through the dealer and will likely buy a discounted MOPAR warranty. Purchased used and would like the peace of mind. This way, we received the lower interest rate and will also save money with a less expensive plan.
I actually...
Cool, I requested to join the meet up group, thanks! There's also an AZ Gladiator Facebook group but not much activity. I'm sure we could crash it or create a new one if needed.
Group text are ok but I think some of the messaging apps are better because there's more flexibility with...
Stock, but loving it so far! Hoping to get off road sometime in the next couple of weeks. Never been truly off road but have a buddy who's into it and several local, seemingly friendly :), groups in the area.
Maybe we plan a Saturday AM for a few weeks out in a separate post? That way we can get a lot of eyes on it and people can plan. I can usually get away for a bit on a Sat morning if meeting in the Chandler-ish area.
That being said I think June 25th would be the earliest I can make it. 😎
Definitely missing per the description:
"Required to discard Middle-Left AC Vent (this operaiton makes wind from Left vent be stronger)"
I wonder how strong that left vent wind will be 😄
I was able to create a carfax account and can add maintenance info and receipts. I like it because it also shows the stuff already added on carfax. The Mopar site doesn't show the dealer maintenance for me.
Unfortunately I'm very tight on free time so it might be tough to make it to a non-trail get together. But hopefully once everyone does the hard work and gets something planned I can show up and enjoy it! :)
I may still hit Four Peaks just to get out of the house and try something easy. I've...
Yeah, same here, also stock. From everything I've read about Four Peaks it's basically a dirt road and any SUV can do it. The downside is it'll probably be crowded. But looks like a good beginner friendly route, about 2.5-3 hrs to go up and down the backside toward Roosevelt lake...
We'd be up for a trail ride this Saturday AM. Would be cool to get a Gladiator group pic. Bulldog Canyon looks like a $6 permit is required but that's fine with me. Four Peaks looks good too. As long as it's not too difficult and not going to damage our new ride we're good with it. I've...
I've joined a few jeep groups and a couple of local groups (Maricopa and Casa Grande). Looks like lots of options for easy trails!
Any particularly good Gladiator groups you've found?
Check out FR200. We've camped at Woods Canyon Lake (an actual campground) but there's lots of dispersed camping (which we haven't done up there) and various lakes. And higher elevation so should be cooler up there on the rim.
Some info I found online recently...
