Son's 99
Something I got tagged with many moons ago, has to do with my name. Used it or something similar ever since.
Son's 99 TJ Sahara, Wife's 21JLURD, my 22JTRD...
Wish I would of gotten a picture of my old 79 CJ5 with the new batch.
What about a simple A frame style hoist built out of 2x4 and 2x6s to lift the tent. Sit it on a set of saw horses to keep it off the ground. Then you could tarp the whole thing, A frame and all to help keep it out of the weather.
Fairly simple and a one man operation.
Not sure about you but...
I don't use my remote start very often, other than at home in the mornings.
I would only use a kill switch when not at home.
So for me, atleast, it wouldn't be much of an issue.
One nice thing about this kit, is if it were to fail, all you'd need to do is pull...
My guess is it's a money savings thing. But ya, kinda weird so to speak.
Not really much difference between the two. Nothing a few pounds of air pressure couldn't even out. Not to mention tread wear.
For comparison...
If you go LSD rear and locker front, there won't be a rear locker button. Unless you install one.

I'm one step ahead of you. Neither side is anchored, so it can go either way.
The wife decided she wants a different mattress than I was originally gonna use. So once it gets here I might have to adjust the pivot point.
Camping season is getting close. Building out a lift bed in the cargo trailer.
Bed mode...
Couch mode...
Still need to add the slats and rig up the winch/lift system.
I'm atleast 6 months away from being ready to spend money on a lift. But the Clayton 1.5" diesel lift is probably what I'll end up doing.
Now, if you wanted to buy it and send it my way, I'd gladly install it and take as many pictures as you want. I'd even put a set of 35x11.50r17 on my stock...
I'll say it again, cause it matters...Tracy Stone-Manning, current director of the BLM is a former known member of Earth First, known eco-terrorists.
There is truth to what Sweetums says about off trail use, it's not good for anybody. It looks bad, does unneeded damage, and just gives SUWA easy...
I took the wife's Wrangler in on Wednesday to get the pump replaced. Originally made the appointment a little over a week ago. While dropping the Wrangler off, I asked about getting my Gladiator done. Service guy checked with the parts department and said sure. Come back tomorrow and swap rigs...
