Feels more like a valving thing to me. Maybe it a slow vs fast valving. I could be talking out of my butt on this. I am pulling from my motocross days and rebuilding forks.

Have any of you with Mojave's and the OEM steel bumper/Warn, found that the ride is much more harsh/stiff? It feels like the shock has a different valving after the bumper/winch install to me. Even small bumps are much more jarring.

I know there is not much left but have you tried to hammer a smaller socket on to it to see if it has enough to take it off?
