Skip the factory Rubicon shocks. They are crap. If you can find a deal on used Mojave 2.5" shocks they are amazing! They completely transformed my Jeep. They aren't a direct bolt on but they really aren't too difficult. I never weighed them but I bet one Mojave shock weighs the same as 3 of the...
This is a 3/4" spacer with Rubicon coils (about 1.75") and 35s. The tires rubbed the front bumper pretty good but your bumper should have more clearance. I had some slight rubbing on the inner fender liners but that was with the swaybar disconnected and wheeling in Moab where we pushed it pretty...
I went with the Evo rear bumper and some DV8 bed sliders. Picked up 10" of extra rear clearance and still have a receiver. Still not in love with the license plate mount so I run my stock bumper most of the year. I can say this high clearance bumper was a game changer when I went back to Moab...
6-months and a grand total of 3,000 miles. My Jeep lives in my garage and as the miles imply isn’t a daily driver. The reverse likes flicker on and off as they please.
Also, the reverse lights are way too bright. Everyone in the parking lots hate you as they are blinding. Great when off-road...
I don't know for sure that the ride quality hadn't diminished but there was nothing bad at all. The rebuilt ones are firmer and seem to take hard hits better but that could be my memory. The squeak was driving me batty and that was the main reason. Mine had about 50k on them. No leaking or...
I am running them with these brass bushings in the front. I didn't want to drill out the front and these have worked out great. The rear bolts in. I am stock Mojave height though.
Bushings
Completely agree with Gizmo. The fox rubicon shocks are hot garbage. I ran them for 6 months and two different sets. If you get them for close to free then great, otherwise I wouldn't spend money on them. They are under-dampened and the truck feels like a Pogo stick.
Finally got my shocks rebuilt. I cannot believe how much better the Jeep feels. I swapped these onto my Sport S and ran them for a year. One of the front shocks started to squeak and was driving me nuts so I put the junk Rubicon Fox shocks on and ran them for 6-months while I saved my pennies to...
Nice truck but you'll likely have more luck posting for sale ads in the for sale section and not cluttering up the general topics section. Good luck on the sale.
What a joke. Corrosion, trans replaced at 40k, shocks bad at 50k (2.5" Mohave shocks), engine has a bad cam at 80k and I cannot get parts since they have thousands on back order, roof seals are shot, and this is just my 2 owner well kept truck.
I love playing in this truck but it is the...
Same thing happened to my Gladiator at 40k. Needed a new transmission. Luckily it was under warranty but I don't believe there is any extended warranty for the trans.
I will "DEMAND", "made whole", lol. What a crazy rant for something that happens in life. Calm down and grab a snickers. The dealer will more than likely make it right, but when you come in screaming like a toddler it sure won't motivate them to help you.
Eh, I just like that they are super up front about the thickness and don't try and hide that.
They are perfect for that black Gladiator in the post. Looks the look and they will stop doors in parking lots. haha
Any chance your truck sits for long intervals? Maybe the lifter is collapsing and the oil draining out is causing failure from operating without pressure for a second. Just a random theory. No evidence but boy vehicles hate sitting.
