Been traveling/working a spell, so the truck has set mostly idle outside of getting regeared/lockers added.
However, I spent today hating myself, the Jeep, sound deadener, plastic torx buckles and trim panels.
In other words: I ripped off the rear wall to delete the subwoofer, stick on extra...
I despised the A/T Falkens I had. Terrible ride, poor wear (even with a proper alignment), loud, and bad MPGs. My ride quality and MPGs are substantially better with KO2’s, and they’re even taller than the Falkens.
So, if any of you have Falkens on from factory and have a poor ride, maybe try...
Poor MPGs, lack of power, and steering wandering are probably due to the fact that a lot of us on here have non factory suspension, heavy steel bumpers and armor, larger than factory tire sizes, and “overland” equipment weighing down the rear of the truck.
So, if you have steering wandering...
Capitalism at work here. With more of these on the market, the prices of even the trusted name brand variants will have to come down. Another bonus would be the standardization of parts across multiple brands and models. All of which is a net positive to the consumer
I’m hoping the Ursa Minor top for the Gladiator (if it ever comes out) resembles something like that, or this: https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/full-vehicle-lenght-hardtop-possible.26886/
Although, my dream would be the “Africa” concept JK. Only thing similar to it would be the...
[note: I only say this pertaining to Wrangler v. Gladiator sales, not other models or brands]
As more younger millennials and Gen Z enter their first new car milestone, they arrive with less cash on hand than any prior generation in a market with extremely high interest rates. So, they’re going...
I used to be really good with planning out my upgrades for cars and bikes in regard to the “buy once, cry once” principle. That is… until I got a Jeep
Discussions like this are always useful to new members on the forum. So, I’ll revive it as a gesture of goodwill to my former self who made many regrets on his first Jeep build.
1. Mojave suspension take offs: yes, these are a great deal and if your Jeep is stock (and I mean plastic bumper/no...
The jury’s still out on whether or not they’re useless… but I’m going to say decals. I’m not talking about just the hood or a body line stripe, but when each body panel on the Jeep has a OEM grade 3M vinyl decal on it.
Most Jeep owners I know think the Rubicon/Willy’s hood decals aren’t enough...
Good to know. It’s been hard finding any firsthand experience online with the JL and JT version. I could really only find posts about the smaller JK version.
Have you had any problems with it since you installed it? Local Jeepers say they’re for “women and liberals who can’t hold their steering...
It hasn’t been back to the dealer since I bought it, but after two years of ownership and 50k miles I thought it was time to get all the recalls taken care of.
It didn’t cost me a dime and they even charged my A/C and rebalanced my wheels since I had to wait two days to get the truck back...
Finally got the wheels I’ve had in my garage for 3 months installed (managed to get NOS JK AEV Saltas and 37” KO2s for bargain basement prices).
Now on the hunt for some Rubicon take off fenders, or maybe the Baja fenders from Quadratec
A few of y’all already mentioned it, but the word “overlanding” has lost all meaning within the last decade. And don’t even get me started on the gatekeeping culture surrounding it. It’s probably my number one source of irritation in and out all outdoor circles
If the Rivian had two solid axles, instead of the poorly made CVs, steering knuckles, and control arms that fall apart hitting potholes, then I would have one. Also, if they didn’t cost twice what I paid for the Gladiator lol
