When I picked mine up yesterday, the dealer told me they weren't able to order the diesel engines anymore, and that they weren't going to be available going forward due to transitioning to "greener" engines. Just a rumor or nah?
Everything's good, picked it up at the dealer today and back to the ranch! Gotta say, overall smoothe transaction. Not counting the waiting and waiting and waiting for it to get built and shipped.
Next, Mopar lift and new wheels and 35's.
Dealer called today, mine's arrived! Will be ready for pickup Monday, he said.
Trackers still show estimated delivery of 11/16.
Dealer told me a couple weeks ago that it wouldn't get to the Kirby railyard in San Antonio until 11/5, so I'm pretty jazzed.
Jeep Tracker still shows emails disabled, but got an email anyway this morning with an updated delivery date. Hope it's conservative. Would like to close the deal and at least get the tri-fold tonneau cover slapped on so we can take it on the road for Thanksgiving. I can get the Mopar lift...
Talked to my dealer this morning, he said he had actually just looked up my order a few minutes before I called. It's at KZR (near dealer) and is expected to arrive at the rail storage in San Antonio Nov 5. Cool.
Thanks for the Autotrader info. Just old and cynical enough to be nervous...
After Minty's post, I looked on Autotrader and damn if my ordered Gladiator isn't listed at my dealer! There was no photo though, Is that some automatic thing dealers do on expected orders?
The hits just keep on coming. My order shows shipped!
So I'm hoping railcar to Dallas, truck down to the Hill Country (less than 300 miles), but I guess it could get rail-shipped to San Antonio. I have absolutely no reason to think that, just hoping.
Ordered a '23 Sport S on July 29th. Dealer gave me the VIN the next week, no developments since then. Dealer said he didn't think they'd start running the line for '23's until September. Don't know if he's correct or not.
