  1. Survey- For those with misfire issues

Please do update on what they find under the hood. My 2020 has the tick too and it's hard for me to figure that's due to a software issue. To be clear, I think there can be 2 distinct things. The software issue probably does exist, and something else (likely a cam) is causing the tick.
  2. Survey- For those with misfire issues

Great post, really good guidance and advice. Thanks for this. I have a 2020 and I've got the ticking too. It's persistent as well. Sounds like I need to get it into a service center to get the issue on file, at the very least, and have the cams checked.
  3. Survey- For those with misfire issues

This makes 3 of us who've been told the same exact thing by 3 different service centers in the last week. I received a lot of skepticism in my other thread (which was 100% understandable) but I think we can consider this confirmed.
  4. Interesting update from dealer / Chrysler on Misfire Issue

Appreciate this advice. There are a number of C/J/D dealers in my area - I'll start calling around.
  5. Interesting update from dealer / Chrysler on Misfire Issue

These two replies basically spell out my remaining concerns. Do you know, since you now have a Star case opened, whether that protects you from running out your warranty before something catastrophic happens? The issue is now "on file" with a date/mileage that predates whenever your warranty...
  6. Interesting update from dealer / Chrysler on Misfire Issue

That was my take, too. I understood where the guy was coming from, especially if he's got vehicles in the shop and frustrated customers calling about their Jeeps, and Chrysler is literally telling him not to work on them. This is my strategy. My only other alternative is to park it at the...
  7. Interesting update from dealer / Chrysler on Misfire Issue

I have. The law in Indiana only applies to vehicles with under 16,000 miles. My Jeep already had 39k when I bought it.
  8. Interesting update from dealer / Chrysler on Misfire Issue

To be fair, I have no idea how trustworthy or reliable the service manager is. I'm just a regular customer, this is my first jeep and I've never dealt with this shop before. He could have been lying out of his ass, but I didn't get that vibe at all when I spoke to him. Apply grains of salt as...
  9. Interesting update from dealer / Chrysler on Misfire Issue

First of all, you need to calm down. I'm just another guy who bought a $50k truck only to walk face-first into what is apparently a major and widespread issue that's been going on for over 2 years with no resolution. I made this post to communicate what I was told because there seems to be a...
  10. Interesting update from dealer / Chrysler on Misfire Issue

And? I'm struggling to find your point of view here. Your tone implies that you have some huge disagreement with what I've said, but what you're actually saying fits more or less in line with what I've been told. As for the pcm flash being designed to help the car recognize the misfire as part...
  11. Interesting update from dealer / Chrysler on Misfire Issue

Yeah, I read you. I didn't mean to imply that I thought the recall would exclude owners who fell outside of the drivetrain warranty - only that: If your engine blows up at 60,001 miles, and Chrysler hasn't issued a recall/campaign yet... ...You may be left in the lurch with either a dead Jeep...
  12. Interesting update from dealer / Chrysler on Misfire Issue

That's not at all a fix for this issue. Multiple people - myself included - have had that reflash performed on their vehicles and the misfire problem persists. You're just where I was about a week ago, before I'd learned what I now know.
  13. Survey- For those with misfire issues

I was just told the same thing about a day ago by the authorized Jeep service center near me. The advice from the service manager was, literally, "drive it 'till it blows up." EDIT: After some discussion in the linked thread, the braintrust here is somewhat divided on whether this is helpful...
  14. Interesting update from dealer / Chrysler on Misfire Issue

I'm new here, so please forgive me if this is already widely known. I had a very interesting phone call with the local Jeep dealership/service center manager yesterday. Like many of you, my new (to me) Gladiator has started having the dreaded P0300 misfire issue. Check engine light, auto...
  15. Survey- For those with misfire issues

Yeah, I'm guessing not. The only odd thing is... this is just now showing up? Everybody else in this thread is hitting this issue after 200, 500, 1000 miles... My truck has 39k. And I've viewed the entire service history - it's never been in for this before. Seems mighty odd that it's only now...
  16. Survey- For those with misfire issues

Build date: 08/20/19 Mileage when it first occurred: 39,000 How many times has it occurred: Continuously What exact codes did it throw: Didn't last long enough to code Is the issue on going? YES If so, what has been done to try to solve the issue? Please see THIS THREAD where I shared the latest...
