Sorry If I wasn't clear.
I never said Sy-Klone didn't work. Clearly it does. As far as "reliable source"
I suggested people wanting to run this snorkel contact Shawn in AEV Customer Service; This is who told me directly, they no longer recommended the Sy-Klone. They haven't tested it...
I didn't ask Shawn (AEV) why he said they no longer support its use. I will though in our next conversation. This week is another two weeks gone by.
I think the Sy-Klone is a great piece of gear. Functionally it's amazing at keeping dirt and debris out of the intake.. Design is well tested.
Was hoping you weren't talking about the Sy-Klone pre-filter. According to AEV they do not recommend using the Sy-Klone pre-filter. Call and talk to Shawn.
I'm personally not a fan of the mushroom look; but if people want to pay the additional $243.00 on top of the AEV snorkel price so be...
I don't believe you'll see them any time soon. AEV is still working on resolving the CEL P04DB errors.
I've had an open "Case #" with AEV on this since Feb 16th, and I check with them via phone at least every two weeks. Their engineering has not come up with a fix for the 2021 and later...
Great information, yes who knows if CCV sensitivity is part of that PCM update. I'll give AEV a chance to come up with the fix. But if takes too much longer I'll try your suggestion hopefully it works.
Of note, I just re-read the TSB 18-003-23 and on the last page it says "POLICY...
Well a bit of bad news today on this AEV snorkel saga. Had dealer appointment today to have TSB updated within my 2022 Gladiator. TSB, I have a copy of it now, only applies to 2020 vehicles. There is no PCM update for this issue on 2021-2023 vehicles. In addition dealer, who called...
So I have had the same error as others here P04DB, hope I copied that down right. Anyhow we all knew AEV was working on it. Patrick just informed me Jeep issued a new TSB 18-003-23 that should take care of this issue. Apparently the CCV system was just a bit too sensitive. I plan to give it...
Well I tried; a couple times. Consider myself a pretty good mechanic; apparently, I suck. Broke off a piece on my fourth try. Fuel cap still goes on, not sure it it'll seal all the way. Ordered replacement. Hats off to those who are able to turn that thing with channel locks.
Great sale, thank you. Picked up (4) 5qt containers today. Just like you said $20.45/each. The display still had them at the $39.99 price. Clerk typed it into computer and yup $20.45.
Northridge does honor price match, thank you Chris. Now you won't get an additional 5%, but come on lets be fare. It's already a more than fare price for top notch product. So I added a diesel lift kit plus from Clayton Offroad to my order. Over the years Northridge has always done me right...
