Looks great! What tire size is that? I've got the same Freedom edition wheels and have been contemplating new wheels when I get new tires.
Also how did you black out the taillights?
So I was having other issues with the MA1 so I ended up returning it and never doing this mod. But you are correct in that last paragraph. The intention was to just not put the bottom fuse in - that leaves you with a break in the circuit that prevents backfeeding power
Alright after some more digging and edification on my part. I think I've come up with a way to do this with two fuse taps. Here's a wiring diagram of how I think it should work.
Having two 15A fuses in series shouldn't effect the fuse capacity.
On closer inspection, looks like what I linked is a Mini ATM fuse connectors - not Micro2 as required. Also it would not pass the power on the USB end since you'd have an open fuse on that side.
Still looking for another option since that micro2 "ECU Repair" wire you linked is no longer...
Finding this thread after recently buying the Motorola MA1. @sharpsicle would this work without needing to cut and solder two seperate wires?? Sorry, very new to automotive electrical.

The '23 model doesn't even have the huge star decals. Just the small flags, the black fender decal and Oscar Mike badge on the tailgate. Pulled the badge off the back already, I'll probably leave the other decals.
