Well, I have a Rubicon, so the colors are perfect for my set up. Let me know once you figure it out. I'm sure it would have to be some type of liquid adhesive. 3m tape would create a gap between the two parts. I think 3m tape to the vehicle is correct though.
When you say "Join the layers" are you meaning red to black or to the vehicle? BTW- looks great with this newer design. I'm ready to order on for me, or is that it there : )
I did the same as the OP. I really like it when the top is on. Is a little quieter and better insulated, but what a nicer look. P.S. Sorry the finished picture is so poor.

I like and would be interested. I would like the see it without the parallelogram part behind the “JT”. Meaning just have the JT diesel part. That would help reduce the size issue too I think.
Well I did it! Couldn't drive two vehicles at once, so I'll pick it up later this week.! I will update with pictures in the near future. It's a loaded '22 rubicon all features minus front trail cam and bed rail system. Test drove on the local streets and interstate. misty rain and 5-10mph...
