Hey Jack. Thanks for the feedback. The two main interests in the 255/85/17 size were better performance in the snow/ice and less noise both I think would be achieved with the Mickey"s. Less rolling resistance is also a benefit.
I can and have easily shifted "on the fly" in and out of 4H at speeds up to 60 mph. Yes, I do get a little torque steer in sharp turns at low speeds while in 4hi. Normal.
Thanks guys for the the requested pics and help. I was worried that a 255 aspect tire would look disproportional. Just the opposite, they really look like they belong. Nice rides BTW. I'm happy to be part of the community. Yes, as soon as I get them on my rig I'll come back and post up some pics.
Yup. I know that it's annoying that people keep asking for pics of of other people's rigs. However, this is a relatively new size for MT and before I go dropping almost $1800 on 5 new tires I wanted to reach out to the community for more info. I would do the same for someone in a similar...
Hey guys. This is a tall and skinny tire which appeals to me because it would perform well in the 6 months of winter that we get here in Vermont. As a side benefit, it would be much more quiet than the Falken Wildpeak MT tires that came on the truck. My 2023 Mojave is stock except for 1-1/2"...
I have no idea if this will remedy what you are experiencing in your jeep but the FIRST aftermarket addition to BOTH our 2023 Jeeps (within 300 miles) was to replace the factory steering stabilizer with this...
This happened to my wife's 23 JLUR with only 1500 miles on it. She has a short commute (1 mile each way) and the battery was not getting charged fully. I added a battery tender the she plugs in after work every day. I also added a battery tender to my JTM as cheap insurance.
I am actually surprised by the build quality of my Gladiator. I paid 10% below MSRP for it and feel that I got a fair deal. I love the "old school " aspects of it such as the solid axles front and as well as an actual lever to shift into 4WD. Even the newer tech is great, such as the Uconnect...
OP, this is a freakin' awesome idea!!! I immediately removed the rock rails on both our Jeeps in favor of side steps. Great idea and finished product!!!
