Hey guys! I've looked all over the threads here and on "way-a-life", and I can't seem to find my ACTUAL tow capacity for my truck. I contacted my dealer, they said 7,500 LBS, but I don't have max tow, my sticker says 3.73 gears with "tow package" and class IV hitch which should be 6,000 LBS...
Haha my grandpa put sand bags in his truck also, I think he did it to look cool lol. I think socks are a alternative to chains and considered CA compliant.
Noted. I just checked out their website, I think these are exactly what I am talking about. I just want assurance, that in the rare event I may actually have to chain up, the chains are quality. Great info, Thank you!!!!
Well all of those treads are referencing stock tires, using socks, or just buying cheap chains just to have. I mentioned I am on 37's, and I want something good.
I moved to the mountains in CA (5,200 Feet) and I purchased a set of chains for my Frontier, along with a new set of Grabber ATX tires. Never needed the chains, even with 2 Feet of snow on our roads, and I would just plunge my way through the roads while everyone else was waiting for lazy snow...
