I’m approaching 70 and completely understand the ladder aversion - and also climbing up to fit the cover for a rooftop tent. I’ve gone with an Alucab canopy camper on the back of my gladiator rubicon and it’s absolutely perfect. I’ve done over 200 nights in it and love as does my wife.

I run Rough Country doors front and back. Love the look. But they are very heavy! I’ve run the front only a few times and agree it is a much greater level of buffeting - especially at highways speeds.

Had the same issue with mine. Had been on dealer lot for 7 months. They assured me that it would start working once aux battery was fully charged. I drive every day. It took about 8 days and then it started working. Has been absolutely fine ever since. (18 months and 46,000 kilometers.)

I’ve got the Alucab Canopy Camper on a 2022 Rubicon. Daily driver for me. Higher fuel consumption but I use the gear I have in the camper all the time - fridge particularly. Adding airbags and Hellwig sway bar to tighten up suspension a bit. Rokon very glad to hear that helped yours.
